Home shows present the perfect opportunity to get ideas for home improvement projects and talk to experts at local companies who can help you with a variety of repair needs.
This weekend’s Columbus Dispatch Home and Garden Show will feature more than 150 vendors and home improvement experts eager to talk to you, including Ohio Basement Authority.
One of our team members you’ll get to meet with is Tori Kohl. Tori is passionate about Ohio Basement Authority, and you will never find someone with a deeper affection for home shows. The opportunity arose for additional home show staffing, and Tori fit the bill perfectly.
“Our company is so easy to talk about, and I genuinely love home shows, so it’s a perfect match,” she said. “It’s so cool to be able to work this event, and I enjoy representing OBA.”
The home and garden show takes place Friday through Sunday in the Bricker Building at the Ohio Expo Center. The event it is being held in conjunction with the Columbus Oktoberfest within Natural Resource Park at the Ohio Expo Center.
Tori, who is Ohio Basement Authority’s Graphic Design Specialist, helped cover a shift at the spring show in February not long after joining our team. She said this experience made her step out of her comfort zone, and she is eager to show off her expertise at this latest event.
“Since my first show, I’ve been to many of our installation jobs and I know more about our products and what we do,” she said. “So I’m more confident going into this show.”
Perfectly aligning with how our company operates, Tori values personal, face-to-face interactions with customers. She is looking forward to a big crowd, and she is curious how the attendance will differ from her first show.
“I think having the gardens will bring more people in, as well as the time of the year,” she said. “Hopefully we’ll get a lot of waterproofing questions because of the rain we had this summer.”
Tori is excited for the debut of a new marketing piece in our booth that she hopes will lead to discussions with home show patrons – a retractable display about egress windows that she designed. While we have installed egress windows for quite some time, we have never had any kind of visual representation or advertising for this service.
Tori will have a couple days to catch her breath after this show, and then she’s off to Orlando, FL, to help staff the first home show featuring our sister company, Florida Foundation Authority.
So if you have questions about our company and how we can help you create a safer and healthier home, be sure to stop by booth #352 at the Columbus Dispatch Fall Home and Garden Show! We can’t wait to see you!
