Jake Kowal’s voice is one of the many upbeat Customer Care Representatives you may hear when you call Ohio Basement Authority.
Jake is a perfect addition to Ohio Basement Authority and our Customer Care team because he is reliable, friendly, easy-going, and eager to learn and help our customers. Jake graduated from Ohio State University in May with a degree in marketing and business economics. While at OSU, Jake held various positions including Resident Advisor and Advancement Intern. He is excited to draw on his knowledge of business and people to help an already amazing team continue to achieve and improve.
“I am really looking forward to the people, both customers and co-workers, as well as the culture,” he said. “I can already tell it is a truly unique place to work.”
Jake’s compassion and thoughtfulness also will enhance his customer service skills.
“Everyone is a person who feels the same emotions as you,” Jake said. “Sometimes it can be easier to just think of a person as an ID number or an obstacle to a goal you need to achieve. But you have to remember people have good and bad days just like you.”
Originally from the Dayton area, where much of his family still resides, Jake lives in Columbus. He enjoys a variety of activities in his spare time including reading, biking, running, hiking, backpacking, traveling, cooking, trying new foods and attending concerts.
