Ever since they moved into their house more than 25 years ago, homeowners in Blacklick, OH, have had problems with water seeping into their basement. They finally had enough of the issue and were motivated to correct it once and for all.
They contacted Ohio Basement Authority after seeing one of our TV commercials, and we installed various waterproofing products to permanently keep their basement dry.
These included the sub-floor WaterGuard drainage system that will catch any water intrusion right away and drain it to a sump pump. The older sump pump was also replaced by a SuperSump pump. The pump was installed inside a larger TripleSafe liner so the owners can easily upgrade the system in the future if they choose.
An IceGuard was also attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line to prevent flooding should the line freeze or become blocked.
The owners now have peace of mind knowing their forever home will be a safe and healthy living environment for many more years to come!
After living in her house for five years, a homeowner in Westerville, OH, started to question the health and safety of her living environment. A recent peek inside a partial crawl space adjacent to the basement revealed a very unhealthy area. The crawl space had failing insulation and plastic floor liner, as well as evidence of moisture.
The owner wanted to have these issues corrected once and for all, so she started looking into repair options. After hearing about Ohio Basement Authority, the owner was eager to contact us to learn more about how we could help her. Inspector Corey Froelich completed a thorough assessment of the crawl space, and he recommended the perfect repairs.
One of our crews then took great care to remove the unhealthy nuisances from the crawl space. The crawl space was then insulated with SilverGlo panels that were placed on the walls. Drainage matting was placed on the floor to enhance the durability of the encapsulation material, and the crawl space was then encapsulated in CleanSpace liner. This thick liner completely seals the crawl space to isolate it from the earth. It also acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, and improves the functionality of the crawl space so it can be used for storage.
The homeowner is pleased to have a safer and healthier crawl space and home because of these reliable solutions.
After removing the drywall from their foundation walls recently, homeowners in Columbus, OH, discovered a few concerning health and safety issues.
One of the walls featured cracks in various patterns, and was beginning to bow inward. There were also moisture issues in the corner, and it appeared the existing sump pump was not functioning properly.
The owners contacted Ohio Basement Authority after learning more about our company online, and we installed various basement waterproofing and foundation repair solutions.
The WaterGuard drainage system was installed in the sub-floor to direct any seeping water to the sump pump. The older sump pump was replaced and upgraded by installing the trustworthy TripleSafe sump pump. An IceGuard was also attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line. These products will always keep water out of the basement and away from the foundation.
The problematic foundation walls were corrected with the installation of several Geo-Lock Wall Anchors. The heavy-duty, galvanized steel anchors stabilize and help straighten the wall so it will no longer crack or bow inward.
The homeowners can rest easier now that their basement is dry and stable!
During recent heavy rains, homeowners in Columbus, OH, noticed water entering their basement and saturating the floor. They wanted to make sure their forever home would always be safe and dry, so they contacted Ohio Basement Authority.
We replaced their older, failing sump pump with the reliable TripleSafe sump pump. This system features three high-powered pumps inside the liner, as well as a back-up battery that will allow the system to continue to work even during a power outage.
Other waterproofing products that were installed to keep the basement dry included the WaterGuard drainage system, an exterior IceGuard and buried downspout conductor lines.
The owners now have peace of mind knowing these permanent solutions will keep their basement free of water for many years to come.
After living in his house for less than one year, a homeowner in London, OH, already experienced some water in his basement. He had the downspout and discharge lines replaced, but he knew the existing sump pump was on its way out. The system appeared to be running frequently, and not necessarily able to keep up with seeping water.
The homeowner didn’t want to have to worry about the basement flooding every time it rained, so he was motivated to address this outdated system. After seeing Ohio Basement Authority on TV and online, the owner was eager to contact us to learn more about how we could help him.
The owner met with Inspector Corey Froelich who evaluated the condition of the waterproofing system including the sump pump. Corey pointed out the property was in a low water table area, so the sump pump naturally would frequently run. While the system had a lid to cover the pit and the pumping equipment, its partially open nature also posed problems. Objects could fall inside and damage the system, and any water in the pit could easily evaporate back into the basement to cause additional issues.
Corey presented the owner with one of our reliable sump pump systems. Foreman Jose de Jesus Tellez Ortiz and his crew then removed the older sump pump system and replaced it with the “king” of sump pumps – the TripleSafe. Equipped with three powerful pumps inside its large liner, as well as external backup battery, the TripleSafe will always work to keep water out of the basement. IceGuards also were attached to the exterior sump pump discharge lines to prevent flooding.
The homeowner now has peace of mind knowing this trustworthy system will keep his home dry for many years to come.
