During the time that they have lived in their house, homeowners in Marengo, OH, have noticed a consistent problem. Yes, it gets cold in winter, but the above floors felt especially chilly.
The owners wanted to nip this problem in the bud, and they were eager to do so with Ohio Basement Authority after seeing our TV ads. They met with Inspector John Tongol who completed a thorough evaluation of the home. This included venturing into the partial crawl space adjacent to the basement. This area was not properly sealed or insulated, and the owners figured out this space was directly below their coldest spot. John then recommended the perfect repairs.
After removing the failing insulation, debris and other nuisances from the crawl space, one of our crews then encapsulated and insulated the area. SilverGlo insulation panels were placed on the crawl space walls, and the area was then encapsulated in CleanSpace liner. This thick and durable liner completely seals the crawl space to isolate it from the earth, and it also helps insulate the area and home.
The homeowners are pleased to now have a healthier, more energy-efficient living environment because of these repairs.
