Job Stories From Baltimore, OH
Waterproofing a Leaking Basement in Baltimore, OH

A woman was eager to purchase a house in Baltimore, OH, but she noticed some problems in the basement. She wanted to have the issues of mold and water intrusion taken care of before moving in, so she discussed her options with her realtor.

One of the companies the realtor recommended was Ohio Basement Authority. The interested buyer met with one of our inspectors who evaluated the condition of the basement. Our inspector then presented the woman with some of our reliable basement waterproofing solutions.

One of our crews waterproofed the leaking basement with the sub-floor WaterGuard system, which intercepts seeping water, and an UltraSump sump pump that replaced the older, failing system. An IceGuard was placed on the exterior sump pump discharge line, which was tied into a new downspout conductor line on the property. This line was directed far enough away from the home, and the end of the line was camouflaged by a LawnScape outlet. A SaniDry dehumidifier also was installed in the basement to improve the air quality.

The new homeowner is happy to have a safe and healthy home because of these trustworthy repairs.

Crawl Space Encapsulation in Baltimore, OH

After living in their house for one year, homeowners in Baltimore, OH, decided they wanted to look into a home improvement project to enhance their home’s health. They were concerned about the condition of the partial crawl space under their house.

The owners found information about Ohio Basement Authority online, and they wanted to contact us to learn more about how we could help them. They met with one of our inspectors who completed a thorough evaluation of the unhealthy and unsightly area. Our inspector then recommended the perfect repair solution.

One of our crews then encapsulated the crawl space in CleanSpace liner to improve the health and appearance of the area. CleanSpace is a thick and durable liner similar to swimming pool liner that fully seals the crawl space to isolate it from the earth. It also serves as a moisture and vapor barrier, and it helps insulate the crawl space, as well.

The homeowners can rest easier knowing this trustworthy repair has helped them create a safer and healthier living environment.

Exterior Drainage Upgrades in Baltimore, OH

After living in their house for two years, homeowners in Baltimore, OH, started to notice a problem with their exterior drainage system. They were worried that water from the gutter downspouts drained too close to the home’s foundation, and they didn’t want to have to deal with this water seeping into the basement.

The owners knew they could count on Ohio Basement Authority for the right repairs because they had us complete an exterior drainage upgrade at their previous property. They were eager to contact us again to assess the drainage at their newer home.

The owners met with the same inspector who evaluated the condition of the home’s exterior drainage system. Our inspector then recommended having one of our crews upgrade the existing system. This project was completed by replacing the lines with newer, thicker pipe used for the downspout conductor lines. These lines were placed in the ground and directed to drain water far away from the home. LawnScape outlets were used to conceal the ends of these discharge lines in the yard.

The homeowners are pleased to have an updated exterior drainage system to help keep their home dry.

He recommended some of our trustworthy crawl space repair products, and the homeowners were eager for one of our crews to install these solutions. These included SmartJack supports to help stabilize and lift the floors and floor joists, SmartPipe drainage system and SmartSump sump pump to keep the crawl space dry, and the SaniDry dehumidifier to control moisture and humidity. Encapsulating a Nasty Crawl Space in Baltimore, OH

It was easy for homeowners in Baltimore, OH, to fall in love with their 100-year-old house when they purchased it four years ago. However, recently they began to notice some issues that made them question the health of their home. They rarely go into the dirt crawl space, but after a recent peek inside they saw that this area under the old farmhouse seemed like an unhealthy environment full of moisture, dampness, and potential mold growth.

The homeowners were worried they could be breathing in the nasty air from the crawl space, and they were motivated to address this issue right away. After seeing Ohio Basement Authority’s TV ads, they were eager to contact us and then meet with one of our inspectors. Foundation Stabilization with PowerBrace Beams in Baltimore, OH

Homeowners in Baltimore, OH, have lived in their house since it was built more than 40 years ago. When they recently began to re-finish the basement, they noticed potential structural issues. Some of the mortar on one of the foundation walls appeared to be cracked and separating.

They were motivated to contact Ohio Basement Authority after seeing some of our TV ads. After meeting with one of our inspectors who evaluated the condition of the wall, they were equally eager for one of our crews to install one type of our many reliable foundation repair solutions.

The homeowners are pleased to now have a safe and stable living environment because of this trustworthy solution.

TripleSafe Sump Pump Will Protect a Leaking Basement in Baltimore, OH

Since moving into their house seven years ago, homeowners in Baltimore, OH, have not had any major problems with their home or basement. Recently, however, the basement leaked because of periods of heavy rains. This resulted in a flooded basement and frantic homeowners. They were concerned the existing sump pump system was no longer able to properly function, and they wanted to upgrade their system.

The homeowners contacted Ohio Basement Authority and met with one of our inspectors. The inspector confirmed the necessity for a new sump pump system to keep the basement dry, and he recommended the “king” of sump pump systems.

We replaced the owners’ older sump pump with the TripleSafe system. With three powerful pumps inside the liner, the TripleSafe offers triple the protection in keeping the basement dry. An external backup battery also ensures the system will continue to operate even when the power goes out. IceGuards also were attached to the exterior sump pump discharge lines.

The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing this newer system will always keep their home dry.

Wall Anchors, Carbon Fiber Reinforce Foundation Walls in Baltimore, OH

They have lived in their house since it was built almost 40 years ago, but it wasn’t until the last year that homeowners in Baltimore, OH, began to notice some potential structural issues. The foundation walls were showing signs of failure in the form of various cracks. Some areas of the walls also seemed to be shifting or tilting inward.

The homeowners were concerned with the structural stability of the walls and worried they could eventually fail and cave in. They wanted peace of mind knowing the home would always be stable, not only for themselves but for their daughter who will inherit the house in the future.

The owners were motivated to contact Ohio Basement Authority after seeing one of our TV ads. One of our experienced inspectors thoroughly evaluated the problematic walls and recommended two types of our many reliable foundation repair products.

Several Geo-Lock Wall Anchors were installed on the more severely cracking and bowing foundation walls, and Carbon Fiber supports were added to protect the walls that were not as dramatically cracking. Both of these solutions permanently reinforce the walls where they are installed.

The wall anchors are made of heavy-duty galvanized steel, and they offer the best opportunity to straighten the walls. The Carbon Fiber supports also prevent the other walls from cracking or bowing any further.

The homeowners are pleased these trustworthy repairs were completed so the home will be a safe and stable living environment for many years to come.

After living in his house for 20 years, a homeowner in Baltimore, OH, noticed several issues with his exterior drainage system. Defective discharge lines could cause any draining water from the gutters to seep into the basement.

The owner began to research repair companies and solutions, and he contacted Ohio Basement Authority after learning more about our company through online resources like Home Advisor. We then updated his exterior drainage system by installing thick, reliable pipe for the downspout conductor lines and sump pump discharge line. WaterGuard, UltraSump and other Waterproofing Products Will Keep a Leaking Basement Dry in Baltimore, OH

After dealing with a leaky, wet basement for many years, homeowners in Baltimore, OH, were ready to address this problematic area once and for all.

Water would seep into the basement at the base of the foundation walls, usually during heavy rains. The sump pump also would run constantly, but it didn’t seem to alleviate any issues with water.

These included the sub-floor WaterGuard interior drainage system, which intercepts any seeping water and drains it to the UltraSump sump pump that was installed. The UltraSump features two pumps inside the sump liner, as well as an exterior back-up battery that allows the system to operate even in the event of a power outage.

The reliable UltraSump pumps the water out of the home and away from the foundation through discharge lines that were tied into the other downspout conductor lines. An IceGuard was attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line just outside the home, and a LawnScape outlet was added to conceal the end of the line on the property.

The owners were pleased to have these quality products installed so their home will be a safe and dry living environment for many years to come.

We have a crawl space under our home. The insulation is hanging and I have a great concern about mold. I know the insulation and plastic needs to be removed and replaced. I would like to seal the outside air off and have the vapor barrier. We could go under the house and remove all the insulation and plastic and replace it, but I am worried about mold spores. How much would it cost for someone to come out and tell us what we are dealing with? I can not answer the phone but you can text or email. The square footage is 1200 ft

Vicinity of Parliment Dr NW in Baltimore
Good morning! Last spring, we experienced a flood in our unfinished basement of 23 inches. High enough to fry the furnaces, water heater, and water pumps. There was no final determination as to how this occurred other the sump pump failed at some point (either being the cause or it failed after water was already flooding the basement). We are interested in an estimate on a couple of possible solutions. 1) A new sump pump system (including battery back up) 2) French drains if determined to be helpful 3) land grading if determined to be helpful 4) Tiling (do you all do land tiling?) if determined to be helpful Overall, we would like an assessment of both our basement and property to determine what our options are to try prevent such a flood in the future. Thanks for your time!

We currently have no sump pump, and since moving in to the home have had water in the basement about 5 times. Our property has a creek that runs in the front of the house. When it rains very hard, and the creek fills, and then the pipe leading from our basement to the creek allows the water to seep up into the basement.
