After seeing Ohio Basement Authority’s TV ads, homeowners in Canal Winchester, OH, reached out to us because they were interested in improving their exterior drainage system.

The owners met with Inspector Avery Robertson who recommended upgrading the system by having one of our crews remove the above-ground pipes and place them in the ground.

While he was at the home, Avery also took a look at the basement because the owners were concerned with water seeping in corners where the exterior drain lines were placed. Along with visible water intrusion and damage, Avery noticed there was an inefficient sump pump system that was failing to keep up with the seeping water. Avery then presented the homeowners with some reliable basement waterproofing solutions.

Foreman Nate Klingenberger and his crew then waterproofed the basement with the WaterGuard interior drainage system and TripleSafe sump pump, as well as exterior IceGuard attachments and new drainage lines.

WaterGuard is specially designed to sit in the sub-floor and atop the footing in order to accept seeping water from the walls and floor. This water is then directed to drain into the TripleSafe sump pump system. This system features three powerful pumps inside its liner, as well as an external backup battery.

Additionally, IceGuards were attached to the exterior sump pump discharge lines to prevent flooding if the lines freeze or become blocked. Newer, thicker pipe was used for the exterior drainage lines. These lines were placed in the ground and directed to drain far enough away from the home’s foundation.

The homeowners can rest easier knowing all of these trustworthy solutions will work together to keep their home safe and dry.

Waterproofing a Leaking Basement in Canal Winchester, OH

While they have lived in their house for 20 years, homeowners in Canal Winchester, OH, started to notice seeping water becoming more of a problem in their basement. They wanted to make sure this area of the home would stay dry, and they were eager to contact Ohio Basement Authority after hearing about our company.

The owners met with one of our inspectors who evaluated the condition of the basement. Our inspector then recommended some of our reliable basement waterproofing solutions.

One of our crews then waterproofed the basement with the WaterGuard drainage system and SuperSump sump pump, as well as exterior IceGuard and LawnScape attachments. The sub-floor WaterGuard catches seeping water from the walls and floor and then directs it to the SuperSump sump pump to be pumped out of the basement. An IceGuard was attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line, and this line was directed to drain far away from the home. The end of this line in the yard was concealed with a LawnScape outlet.

The owners are happy to now have a dry basement because of these trustworthy repairs.

Stabilizing and Waterproofing a Home in Canal Winchester, OH

Homeowners in Canal Winchester, OH, have lived in their house since it was built almost 60 years ago. During that time, some issues in the basement have gotten worse. Several areas of the walls were cracking and beginning to tilt inward, and water was visibly seeping inside and leaving behind puddles and evidence of damage.

The owners decided enough was enough of dealing with these problems, so they started to research repair options. They were eager to contact Ohio Basement Authority after finding information about our company through resources like Angie’s List. They met with one of our inspectors who assessed the condition of the basement. Our inspector then presented the owners with some of our reliable foundation repair and basement waterproofing solutions.

They also prevent any further cracking or inward bowing, and they can easily be covered with paint or other basement finishing materials.

The basement was then waterproofed with the WaterGuard and TrenchDrain drainage systems, and a SuperSump sump pump. WaterGuard was installed in the sub-floor to intercept seeping water from the walls and floor, and a section of TrenchDrain was placed in the floor in front of the basement door. Any water from these systems is directed to drain into the SuperSump sump pump to be pumped out of the house.
