Fixing and Repairing a Cracking, Tilting Wall in Marysville, OH Fixing and Repairing a Cracking, Tilting Wall in Marysville, OH

Homeowners in Marysville, OH, have lived in their house since it was built 30 years ago. During the last few years, the owners have noticed potential structural issues getting worse. One section of a foundation wall was cracking and appeared to be tilting inward.

Along with the safety and structural integrity of their living environment, the owners were concerned these problems could impact their ability to sell the home some day. They wanted to fix these issues once and for all, so they started to research how to best address these problems. They contacted Ohio Basement Authority after seeing our TV ads, and they were eager to meet with one of our inspectors to learn more about how we could help them.

As he used a laser level and his keen, experienced eye, Inspector Travis Burkart pointed out that the north wall was showing signs of settlement and tipping. He then presented the homeowners with several repair options that would stabilize the wall and prevent any further damage.

The owners were then eager for Foreman Manuel Inguil to lead his crew in installing several PowerBrace beams. These steel beams are fastened and secured to the floor joists. The beams are then plumbed against the wall as level as possible, and the bottom of the beams are anchored to the floor. These heavy-duty beams are zinc-plated beams so they are protected from corrosion and damage, unlike the other metal and wooden supports that were failing to stabilize the walls. Another unique feature with this system is the ability to tighten the beams during dry seasons to potentially improve and straighten the wall over time.

The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing this reliable repair solution has helped ensure their home’s structural stability for many years to come.

Foundation Stabilization With Helical Piers and Carbon Fiber Supports in Marysville, OH

Homeowners in Marysville, OH, have lived in their house for 10 years, but it wasn’t until the past year that they noticed structural problems were beginning to worsen. An addition was built onto the 100-year-old home several years ago, and the foundation of this addition was cracking and settling.

Concerned with the property’s safety and value, the owners wanted to have these issues fixed before serious damage resulted. They were motivated to contact Ohio Basement Authority after finding information about our company online. One of our inspectors then visited to complete a thorough evaluation of the home and the problematic foundation walls. Our inspector then recommended some of our reliable foundation repair solutions.

One of our crews then installed Helical Piers underneath the settling sections of the foundation walls. These galvanized steel piers are driven down to competent soil and attached to heavy-duty foundation brackets on the home’s footing. The piers permanently stabilize the foundation, help prevent any further settlement, and offer the best opportunity to lift the walls back to level.

The owners also wanted to protect the adjacent cracking wall, so we installed several Carbon Fiber supports to permanently stabilize this wall. These durable supports firmly adhere to the wall to hold it in its current position and prevent any further cracking or bowing.

The homeowners are pleased to now have a safe and stable living environment because of these trustworthy repairs.

Homeowners in Marysville, OH, have lived in their house since it was built 23 years ago. They were preparing to sell the house, but they knew they needed to address various repair projects first. After previously failed attempts to fix cracking and tilting foundation walls, the owners wanted to find the best permanent solution.

The owners voiced their concerns to a trusted friend, and their friend recommended Ohio Basement Authority. The owners were then eager to contact us to learn more about how we could help them. They met with one of our inspectors who completed a thorough evaluation of the home and its failing foundation walls. Our inspector then presented the owners with some of our reliable foundation repair solution.

One of our crews then installed PowerBrace beams and Carbon Fiber supports on the walls. Both of these solutions permanently stabilize the foundation walls and prevent any further cracking or inward bowing. The PowerBrace beams were placed on the wall that was in the worst shape. These heavy-duty beams can be tightened during dry periods to potentially improve the wall’s condition. The Carbon Fiber straps were placed on the less severe wall to hold it in its current position.

The owners can confidently put their home on the market now because these trustworthy solutions have ensured the home’s safety and resale value.

Foundation Stabilization with Carbon Fiber in Marysville, OH

During the couple years that he has lived in his house, a homeowner in Marysville, OH, noticed some things in his basement getting worse. There were several areas of the foundation walls that were cracking, and some spots appeared to be tilting inward.

The owner didn’t want these issues to continue to worsen to the point of affecting the home’s safety. He voiced his concerns to a trusted friend, and his friend recommended contacting Ohio Basement Authority. The owner was eager to do so to learn more about how we could help him, along with meet with one of our expert inspectors. Our inspector assessed the condition of the walls, and he then recommended one type of our many reliable foundation repair solutions.

One of our crews then installed several Carbon Fiber supports on the walls throughout the basement. Stabilizing a Cracking Wall and Sagging Floors in Marysville, OH

A homeowner in Marysville, OH, was ready to sell his house. Before putting it on the market, however, the owner knew some structural repairs were needed. One of the foundation walls was severely cracking and tilting inward, and a section of the floor above the basement was sagging.

The owner knew Ohio Basement Authority would be able to help, as one of his friends works for our company. The owner met with one of our inspectors who evaluated the condition of the problematic wall and floor joists. Our inspector then recommended some of our reliable foundation repair solutions.

One of our crews then stabilized the home. They first completed what is known as a dig and push repair project on the failing foundation wall. This involves excavating the ground outside the wall, digging down to the footing. The wall is then pushed back to as level as possible, and the dirt is replaced.

Several PowerBrace beams were then installed on the wall to further reinforce it and help improve its condition. The PowerBrace beams are anchored to the floor and floor joists, and the heavy-duty bolt holding it to the floor joist can be adjusted during dry seasons for potential wall improvement.

Several SmartJacks also were installed in the basement to correct the sagging floor. These heavy-duty supports are made of galvanized steel, which enhances their durability and makes them resistant to rust, corrosion and rot. SmartJacks permanently stabilize the above floors and offer the best opportunity to lift them back to level. They are designed to stop settlement, but can easily be adjusted if any settling occurs.

The owner is pleased these trustworthy repairs were completed to help ensure the home’s value and safety for the next owners.

Hello - A couple of years ago, Corey Froelich from Ohio Basement Authority (OBA) came out to our house to inspect a crack in the wall of our basement walkout. At the time, he said the situation did not require OBA's intervention and he advised me to seal the creak and let OBA know if the damage got worse. I noticed today that the wall seems to be bowing and there is additional cracking occuring in the walkout and in the floor tiles in the room above. I would like to schedule an appointment for OBA to come out as soon as possible to expect the space and provide an estimate on fixing the damage. If Corey is still with your company, I'd prefer if he could come out since he is familiar with the situation. Thank you.
