Martimiano, Alex and Angel did a great job installing a new sump pump with battery back up. They made sure to cover all the flooring leading to the basement. Martimiano explained exactly what they were going to do. They completed the job in about 3 hours and cleaned everything up. They were very professional. I would definitely recommend OBA.

Ohio Basement Authority gave us a very reasonable estimate for leveling out several problem spots in our concrete driveway and walkway to our front door. Then they contacted us when a spot opened on their job schedule a few months sooner than expected. Their crew, Nick and Earl, were on time, very personable, kept us fully informed on their progress, and did a great job. Our driveway, walkway, and front-door entryway look much better, with tripping hazards gone. Very happy with the OBA's work!

I had an excellent experience with Ohio Basement Authority. My certified field inspector, Hollis Smith, was professional, knowledgeable, and thorough from start to finish. He took the time to explain how the crack on the driveway would be repaired utilizing videos during the process. I felt confident in his expertise and appreciated his attention to detail. Highly recommend.

Eric did a thorough job reviewing my home after a relocation inspector pointed out concerns with some cracking in the foundation of my home. He remained professional and honest in his assessment of the situation while many may have tried to deceive and oversell when they heard relocation he showed great character in his review and approach. I highly recommend Eric for an honest and thorough evaluation of your home!

Killer experience. My basement went from feeling like a cave in death trap to a safe sturdy place welcome for guests. Jokes aside, the work performed initially as well as the yearly tune up and inspections have been extremely satisfying. Just had my last inspection with Kyle where he exceeded all expectations and was very friendly the entire time. I fully recommend the company, and will be contacting them for future projects.

James ******* is fantastic. He quickly identified several issues in our home using advanced equipment and visual inspection. He explained the process of the crawlspace encapsulation and showed us photos so that we understood exactly what is beneath our home. He has worked very well with the contractor from ****, Wayne, who is also excellent. The two of them have agreed on several things, and will work together to try to save our subfloor we were previously told had to be ripped out. We have very scary issues with our house (mold, sagging beams from a dishwasher leak and the foundation shifting due to this). James has drawn a diagram of the house as far as he can for now. Wayne from **** is doing the same. Our HVAC must be ripped out before James can evaluate the rest of our house, but he was able to show us where we have crawlspace and where it is slab. We highly recommend this very knowledgeable and professional technician. We trust him and are grateful he and the other contractor are able to work so well together to try to help us during one of the worst nightmares of our lives. Their calm mannerisms are helping us not panic, and we know they could have padded the bill and ripped out the sub floor. Not wanting to do this shows us even more so that we can trust James to make the best decision to help us. He got down in our crawlspace that is very short in freezing weather and took photos of everything. He is dedicated and he really cares.

Richard, Donte, Javaun did a great job. Richard, the Forman, made sure to see if I had any questions about the product and job from start to finish. You can't really see from the photos but they built up the dirt after they were done to help keep it from washing away. I would definitely recommend.

My inspection was performed by Chelsa who arrived on time and was very professional and pleasant. She did an excellent job. Not only was the information she provided detailed, it was very educational as well. I will say being a homeowner twice and having multiple inspections for various home projects, Chelsea was by far the best inspector I have ever encountered. I really believe her being female made the entire process a lot less intimidating.

We had OBA lift our concrete home entrance pad and connected walkway. Over the years this had become a safety hazard. The work was done as agreed too: curing the hazard and improving the look of the walkway. The OBA project team, Ryan an Bryan, were excellent to work with. They explained what they were going to do and kept us informed periodically as they progressed. We are pleased with the results.

Matt M. did a walk around outside of our house for foundation cracks or problems before he inspected the crawlspace. My wife and I sat down with Matt and were very happy with his assessment to address our concerns. We set a date and time to begin work to install additional Jacpipes and beams. Iran H. and Chris M. called the night before to authorize an earlier start time. They arrived on time. They began working in the crawlspace and cleaned up the work area. Iran and Chris showed us pics and stated they will return to make the adjustments to the jacposts. Very courteous and professional. We recommend the company.

Had a great experience with Ohio Basement Authority recently when they came out to look at our crawl space for encapsulation. Dakota Hruby was the one who did the inspection, and he was fantastic—super friendly, professional, and really took the time to walk me through everything. What stood out the most was how thorough he was. He didn’t just do a quick once-over and leave; he explained things in detail, answered all my questions, and made sure I actually understood what was going on down there and why certain fixes were recommended. I never felt rushed or pressured, which I really appreciated. Overall, I was really impressed with the quality of the inspection and how much time they spent with me. It felt like they genuinely cared about doing things right. Definitely recommend if you’re looking into crawl space work.

There was a small issue during the process, but the company really stepped up and took care of it promptly and professionally. Ohio Basement Authority is the top choice for exceptional plumbing services at a competitive price. After maintaining my old sump pump for over 20 years, it finally gave out and it was time for a replacement. I was able to schedule an appointment at a time that worked best for me, and Kyle Lockard came out to install the new sump pump. He did an outstanding job! Kyle not only installed the new pump but also cleaned out a significant amount of grime that had built up over the years. Unlike other companies that simply check if the sump pump is working and call it maintenance, Ohio Basement Authority went above and beyond, as shown in the photos. I'm extremely grateful for the professional and thorough service they provided in replacing my sump pump the right way.

We just had our crawl space encapsulated and this company did an outstanding job. Our first interaction was with Mark Vouis who had the unfortunate task of crawling around our hideous crawlspace to come up with the initial estimate. He was thorough, friendly, explained everything well, and was able to work out all the financing before his visit was over. Our installation was done in the same week by two equally thorough, friendly, professionals named Ivan and Davis. Not only did they give our crawl space a desperately needed makeover but they also noticed a duct pipe had come detached and just went ahead and fixed that for us as well. Ivan made sure he walked us through everything they did when they were finished, showing us before and after pictures he took along the way of the entire crawl space. They were also very friendly with our pug who, despite weighing all of 15lbs, has delusions of grandeur and tried to tell them off the entire time they were working. I would very highly recommend this company to anyone who needs work done on their basement!

I was really impressed with the quoting experience with Mark! He was friendly, thorough and offered me a few different solutions without feeling "salesy". Unfortunately, the potential foundation repairs were for a home that I was under contract to buy, but had to backout because the seller refused to lower the purchase price to compensate. However, based on the genuine experience with Mark, I'd recommend this company!

William and his crew were great! Very professional and courteous. Issues were as follows: Evan the salesman mentioned that we might need to remove the laundry sink at our first walkthrough. But around one week before they were due to arrive for the job, I called to ask about it and he had forgotten about it. He did help me find a really good plumber at a discount to correct this. The next issue was that the board to repair the base of the house was not going to fit, and they did not have the right equipment to do that job. The job got postponed by at least 2 weeks due to other scheduled jobs and staff vacation. In addition, William had to do a job during the morning of our scheduled work which put them back 1/2 day. I really appreciate that this company is family owned, but it feels like they are stretched a bit thin with staffing and equipment.

Our finished basement became flooded with ground water. It was bad. We were walking in PUDDLES of water throughout the basement. A family member who is a contractor for home improvements recommended Ohio Basement Authority (OBA) Sara who works for them came to evaluate our basement issues. She fully explained the issue and the process to eliminate it. She discovered this was not a new issue for us as we found mold behind the drywall. The working crew of Tracen, Daniel, Ciadne, and Dryck all were extremely professional and answered all our questions. As we do not have an outside door from our basement, they had to hand carry all the equipment, supplies and old concrete up the basement stairs and out of the house. They did everything possible to mitigate the construction mess from laying drop cloths to putting up plastic curtains. The process for us was quick and efficient. They cleaned up all the construction mess and more. We are extremely pleased with the end product and looking forward to reclaiming our basement as living and storage space. Thank you OBA who not only fixed the issue but really addressed a potential health issue for our family! 10/10. The warranty on the work is good for the lifetime of the house.

Joe and his crew were fantastic! They came in and got the job done. Above and beyond! They even linked in back downspout in close vacinity to the discharge line. Looks great. Any questions I had were answered. They let me know when they were coming and finished in 2 days! I was impressed with this crew and company. Love this system so far, very quiet. Test is coming with the upcoming season and it is life time warranty! Cannot wait for phase 2 finishing to have dry and complete basement!

Daniel,Jon,and Kyle showed up to redo trench drain. This is the fourth crew to do work for us. The five stars are for the professionalism and way they handled the job, not for Basauth. Poor management and lack of follow-up. This crew rectified a couple small issues other than the shitty drain work. Again if you used these guys as examples of good work ethic and doing the best job that they can with limited resources you might not have customers like me seriously questioning your business ethics and practices. We hired Ohio Basement Authority to waterproof and dry out a damp cellar/basement at a historic home of ours. The stone walls and mortar were slowly crumbling. They inspected the foundation, explained all options to us, and completed the entire project in just 2 days. Everyone was very professional and easy to work with. We would highly recommend them to anyone needing similar services. Will use again in the future.

Called to get an estimate on raising my concrete driveway. Chase Clemens came out the next business day, gave me the estimate and I forwarded it to our HOA manager to get a response on the potential fix. Have lived here for less than 3 years and the concrete slab has settled about 2 inches. Very good meeting and Chase gave me the information I required. Thank You.

I called to have the foundation of my home repaired. My floor boards were moving, there was a crack in my center wall. My anxiety was through the roof and I was dreading spending several thousands or tens of thousands of dollars. Mr. Hollis Smith showed up promptly, professionally and friendly. I explained to him my concerns and showed him the issues. After a few hours he basically tells me that the guy I hired to put jack stands in the basement installed them wrong. He also cranked them too high, pushing up on the floors and causing the crack in the wall and the floorboard separation. He then tells me the jack stands were not even needed. What I thought was a massive hole and faulty foundation was perfectly fine. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone. He could have really taken me to the bank for work I did not need done and he didn’t. That’s integrity! He is looking at a few other jobs that we would like to have now. Jobs there are not urgent. We look forward to working with his professionalism, honesty and expertise!
