I recently had the pleasure of working with Kyle R. from Ohio Basement Authority on a challenging basement project, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. While the job took longer than initially expected due to unforeseen complications, Kyle's commitment and professionalism never wavered. He consistently followed through on every promise he made, keeping me informed and at ease throughout the process. Kyle was joined by Slade R. and Bryan K., who were incredible teammates. These two were hardworking, reliable, and just as pleasant to have around. They worked tirelessly, never once slowing down or losing focus. The team as a whole was exceptional, and their efforts were truly appreciated. What stood out the most, though, was Kyle's attitude. Even when problems arose, which inevitably happens with a job of this magnitude, he maintained the most positive and professional demeanor I’ve ever encountered with anyone working in my home. He approached each challenge with a smile, finding solutions without letting it affect the quality of his work or the rapport he built with us. Kyle is the kind of worker you don’t come across every day. If I had to pay double to have Kyle back for every project, I absolutely would—it’s that rare to find someone as dedicated and trustworthy as him. Overall, I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience and the results. Ohio Basement Authority (OBA) installed my inside French drain and I couldn’t be more pleased. The install went quick and smooth. OBA does yearly checks of the system. A pleasant young man named Kyle was the tech today and besides being thorough he was very informative and efficient. All my interactions with employees of OBA was been pleasant and would recommend their services.

8.31.2023Update.After miscommunication I believe we are all set and we will see how it functions!That was fixed.Just waiting on final finished walls to be done which would have been next week but I couldn't do that so will be the following!And now my 2 year old washing machine is leaking from the bottom. If I knew this was going to completely ruin capacity to do laundry……they should have extended the sump pump.Or said you can't use your washer dryer.Got a call yesterday and he had no clue what was discussed discussed aND still needed to be fixed. From Friday evening To Monday 4 pm it was never communicated..So Day three and the plumber was sent out as promised. Matt who was the person I met first who does the assessments now is really great at being hands-on. I met with one of their competitors the day after Matt came. Matt struck me as honest and I read BBB reviews. Ohio Basement stood out because they remedied issues. The other guys did not. The others tried to get me…all 3 of them …to sign that night. Which made me want to say my doors here…bye! Matt simply told me facts. He came out tonight and moved my washer back for me. He told me a plumber was coming and they did. They guys who worked on the basement were really nice and professional. My basement crawl space no longer smells and the musty basement odor is reduced significantly already.A few loose ends which Matt is working on will be fixed and it'll be 5 stars.

There was a crack in the foundation in my crawl space. I had received 3 estimates, all with 3 different solutions. I sure was confused. I contacted a few other companies and finally I called Ohio Basement Authority. Nick took his time and thoroughly explained the issue and provided a solution. He was the only one that measured both the crawl space and the room above it and determined that the crack was not a threat to the foundation, explaining why there was not a reason to do anything at this time. I did decide to have the crawl space encapsulated. Nick's team was very courteous and respectful while in my home and completed the job in a timely manner. Don't waste your time in contacting other companies. Nick at Ohio Basement Authority knows his stuff and has the best team ever!

My wife and I had a few contractors out to our property to assess our sinking garage slab issue. We ultimately decided to use Ohio Basement Authority as the consultant Nick came out, took measurements and provided details that others could not. We moved forward with having 5 piers installed under the slab. The team that came out to complete the work was Sean, Nick, and Elijah. What a team! They were awesome! They arrived on time, walked us through the process and had it all completed in the same day. Our floors is now even and the gaps that existed are now gone in the walls. Thank you to your team for taking care of this project for us. They also made it super easy with Payment Options for us as well which is perfect around the holiday season.

I called to have the foundation of my home repaired. My floor boards were moving, there was a crack in my center wall. My anxiety was…
I called to have the foundation of my home repaired. My floor boards were moving, there was a crack in my center wall. My anxiety was through the roof and I was dreading spending several thousands or tens of thousands of dollars. Mr. Hollis Smith showed up promptly, professionally and friendly. I explained to him my concerns and showed him the issues. After a few hours he basically tells me that the guy I hired to put jack stands in the basement installed them wrong. He also cranked them too high, pushing up on the floors and causing the crack in the wall and the floorboard separation. He then tells me the jack stands were not even needed. What I thought was a massive hole and faulty foundation was perfectly fine. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone. He could have really taken me to the bank for work I did not need done and he didn’t. That’s integrity! He is looking at a few other jobs that we would like to have now. Jobs there are not urgent. We look forward to working with his professionalism, honesty and expertise!

Not only was the information she provided detailed, it was very educational as well. I will say being a homeowner twice and having multiple inspections for various home projects, Chelsea was by far the best inspector I have ever encountered. I really believe her being female made the entire process a lot less intimidating.

Caden and Chris came over to my house to complete an annual check on my basement wall. During their visit, they were polite and friendly. They even changed my sump pump back up battery, rewired it and fixed my leaky pipe. They went way above and beyond and provided the best customer service I have received in as long as I can remember. Overall 10 stars, I would recommend them to everyone!!

Chase came to our house to do an inspection to figure out where the water in our basement was coming from. He was very knowledgeable, kind, professional and thorough. He answered all of our questions and did a great job explaining everything to us. Chase was very easy to talk to and is passionate about his job and you can tell he really wants to help his customers. Very happy with my experience working with Ohio basement authority on addressing my homes foundation and water issues. Chase did a great job of assessing the issues and giving me options without making me feel like I was being sold something. When it came time to do the work Iran H, Chris M, and Ricky G did an awesome job. They were very professional throughout the process. I appreciated that they outlined and reviewed their work with me. When my basement flooded, OBA was there within an hour. Chris Masselli, the tech, jumped right in to figure out what was going on. Without my even asking, they replaced my sump pumps (and added one more) and dehumidifier which had been ruined, under my warranty. As we tried to figure out what was causing the intrusion, Chris came out at least half a dozen times with just a phone call, including being at my house until after 11 one night. Tracen and his crew, Ciande and Ali, rearranged their work schedule to make sure needed work was done before the rain came. I have an old house, so they had to do a lot of problem-solving to find a solution for us. They were professional, friendly, and did excellent work. Kaleb called to help me with another related problem, found us an answer, and then followed up to make sure everything worked out. They stayed in touch with me every single day for two weeks until everything was good. They even provided an extended maintenance contract to ensure that any possible problems in the future would be addressed. If I had to use one word to describe this company, it would be integrity. Every single interaction was professional. They went above and beyond in every way and made sure I had the outcome I needed. Finding quality companies to do work in our home has been a struggle, but this is what high quality looks like. If every company did business like this, it would be so much better. Highly, highly recommend.

I recently hired this company to install two basement egress windows in one of my rental properties, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park! From the first call, they were super quick to respond—got back to me right away, answered all my questions, and scheduled everything efficiently without any hassle. The team that came out was incredibly professional: polite, knowledgeable, and clearly experienced with egress installations. They did a fantastic job on both windows—clean cuts, solid work around the foundation, great attention to detail, and they left the site spotless when they were done. The new windows look perfect, meet code, and add real value (and safety!) to the rental. If you’re a landlord or homeowner needing egress windows, I highly recommend them. Poor management and lack of follow-up. This crew rectified a couple small issues other than the shitty drain work.
