He presented all the possible solutions, pros and cons of each, and pitched a thoughtful recommendation. We were ultimately sold when he sang multiple verses of “Baby Shark” including the dance. I'm not sure how so many things went wrong with the water proofing service of our basement, but I am confident these guys fixed the problems. I recently had the pleasure of working with Kyle R. from Ohio Basement Authority on a challenging basement project, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. While the job took longer than initially expected due to unforeseen complications, Kyle's commitment and professionalism never wavered. He consistently followed through on every promise he made, keeping me informed and at ease throughout the process. Kyle was joined by Slade R. and Bryan K., who were incredible teammates. These two were hardworking, reliable, and just as pleasant to have around. They worked tirelessly, never once slowing down or losing focus. The team as a whole was exceptional, and their efforts were truly appreciated. What stood out the most, though, was Kyle's attitude. Even when problems arose, which inevitably happens with a job of this magnitude, he maintained the most positive and professional demeanor I’ve ever encountered with anyone working in my home. He approached each challenge with a smile, finding solutions without letting it affect the quality of his work or the rapport he built with us. Kyle is the kind of worker you don’t come across every day. Foundation problems are a very stressful situation to deal with, but from the beginning Ohio Basement Authority made the process effortless and brought us peace of mind not only in the choices we made for our solution but also in the financial aspect of it as well. James Sandlin was courteous and friendly from the second he stepped into our home. He was very thoroughly with the review of our foundation and the needs we were looking to meet. Sometimes in these situations it's all about the experience and he truly made this experience all the more better for us. He walked us through and educated us on the different problems foundations can have and the different solutions that help match the problems we were facing. He even gave us multiple financial choices that helped us choose what worked the best for our needs. Job was substantially completed 10/07 And full payment was made on 10/08 With the agreement that a 10 foot condensation hose from the dehumidifier would be delivered to me on 10/11 so the Aprilair unit could be more centrally located . Currently hose is only 5 feet long. Also the delivery team did not provide any verbal instructions except to press arrows up or down to set the humidity settings . I was told with purchase that instructions would be given to me and explain maintenance .The agreement was the 10 foot hose would be delivered 10/11 and at that time instructions on care of unit would be provided verbally . I was there from 9a-4:15 and did not receive any calls to reschedule .

After 30 years in our home, our foundation was in serious need of repair. Ohio Basement Authorities was selected to do the repair work needed to stabilize the home. They were very professional and quickly demonstrated that they had the expertise and equipment needed to effectively and efficiently get the job done. Very impressive was that a team of just 3 dug out a massive amount of dirt along the entire side of our house which then allowed them to install necessary materials to stabilize the foundation. Additionally, these 3 completed all needed work in less than a day and a half! Big shout out to Elijah, Robert and Isaiah W. from the Ohio Basement Authorities Branch in Cincinnati Ohio. I highly recommend them to anyone needing foundation repair.

My home is unusualy long, large and awkwardly positioned on a steep slope. I worried for years it was too big of a task to repair thoroughly and would be far too expensive. I had quotes from various experts and never felt confident with any of their solutions. But yesterday I met Dan with Ohio Basement Authority and I have to say: MY OPINION CHANGED QUICKLY. I will never be able to thank @Dan Lauterbur enough for our home evaluation. He worked with precision and great attention to detail, addressing every nagging question, and concern I threw at him with a plethora of knowledge and expertise. His passion for construction and foundation repair was evident. Literally every minute was a fountain of knowledge; he did not rush and spent nearly 4 hours with me to complete our home evaluation, sketch and entire contract. Bringing over 25 years of experience as a general contractor, I can rest easy knowing Dan left no stone unturned during the process. Very excited to continue working with Dan as our Project Manager over the next three months and see our dreams come to fruition!!! I truly do not believe there is another foundation company out there that will have the man power for this monster of a project (32 push peirs, driveway deck, floors and more); all-the-while still making the process stress-free, smooth and affordable. My wife and I sat down with Matt and were very happy with his assessment to address our concerns. We set a date and time to begin work to install additional Jacpipes and beams. Iran H. and Chris M. called the night before to authorize an earlier start time. They arrived on time. They began working in the crawlspace and cleaned up the work area. Iran and Chris showed us pics and stated they will return to make the adjustments to the jacposts. Very courteous and professional. We recommend the company.

Today, Chase Clemens and Justin Bankcroft thoroughly inspected my house for structural concerns. (They were almost at my house for three hours.) I cannot begin to thank them enough for their knowledge, integrity and ethics. Another company gave me an estimate of almost $29,000 and Chase said that none of that work needed to be done. Chase and Justin identified the problem (my roof) and assured me it was not a problem with the house structure itself. Not only did they save me an enormous amount of money, but they restored my faith in people. There are ethical professionals in this world and they are certainly two of them. Both of these men were so professional and knowledgeable, I am beyond grateful. I feel very blessed.

8.31.2023Update.After miscommunication I believe we are all set and we will see how it functions!That was fixed.Just waiting on final finished walls to be done which would have been next week but I couldn't do that so will be the following!And now my 2 year old washing machine is leaking from the bottom. If I knew this was going to completely ruin capacity to do laundry……they should have extended the sump pump.Or said you can't use your washer dryer.Got a call yesterday and he had no clue what was discussed discussed aND still needed to be fixed. From Friday evening To Monday 4 pm it was never communicated..So Day three and the plumber was sent out as promised. Matt who was the person I met first who does the assessments now is really great at being hands-on. I met with one of their competitors the day after Matt came. Matt struck me as honest and I read BBB reviews. Ohio Basement stood out because they remedied issues. The other guys did not. The others tried to get me…all 3 of them …to sign that night. Which made me want to say my doors here…bye! Matt simply told me facts. He came out tonight and moved my washer back for me. He told me a plumber was coming and they did. They guys who worked on the basement were really nice and professional. My basement crawl space no longer smells and the musty basement odor is reduced significantly already.A few loose ends which Matt is working on will be fixed and it'll be 5 stars.

James ******* is fantastic. He quickly identified several issues in our home using advanced equipment and visual inspection. He explained the process of the crawlspace encapsulation and showed us photos so that we understood exactly what is beneath our home. He has worked very well with the contractor from ****, Wayne, who is also excellent. The two of them have agreed on several things, and will work together to try to save our subfloor we were previously told had to be ripped out. We have very scary issues with our house (mold, sagging beams from a dishwasher leak and the foundation shifting due to this). James has drawn a diagram of the house as far as he can for now. Wayne from **** is doing the same. Our HVAC must be ripped out before James can evaluate the rest of our house, but he was able to show us where we have crawlspace and where it is slab. We highly recommend this very knowledgeable and professional technician. We trust him and are grateful he and the other contractor are able to work so well together to try to help us during one of the worst nightmares of our lives. Their calm mannerisms are helping us not panic, and we know they could have padded the bill and ripped out the sub floor. Not wanting to do this shows us even more so that we can trust James to make the best decision to help us. He got down in our crawlspace that is very short in freezing weather and took photos of everything. He is dedicated and he really cares.
