Tanner did an excellent job with his inspection, information presented via short videos and actual samples of the materials and then communicating options and prices. Joseph and his crew showed up on time, very courteous, explained the job, and cleaned up completely. The work done was a crawlspace waterproofing system and encapsulation.

Did everything wanted/expected and more. The last inspection I had was by Steven Fortae he was extremely knowledgeable was able to answer all my questions and explain the why behind the answers. He took his time laser measured everything and explained what to look for outside and I side the house. He even showed me the area of my house were it was engineered wrong (built in 1966). Fortunately for me I already fixed that and he explained what I did right and why and how it should have been designed originally.

He presented all the possible solutions, pros and cons of each, and pitched a thoughtful recommendation. We were ultimately sold when he sang multiple verses of “Baby Shark” including the dance. James ******* is fantastic. He quickly identified several issues in our home using advanced equipment and visual inspection. He explained the process of the crawlspace encapsulation and showed us photos so that we understood exactly what is beneath our home. He has worked very well with the contractor from ****, Wayne, who is also excellent. The two of them have agreed on several things, and will work together to try to save our subfloor we were previously told had to be ripped out. We have very scary issues with our house (mold, sagging beams from a dishwasher leak and the foundation shifting due to this). James has drawn a diagram of the house as far as he can for now. Wayne from **** is doing the same. Our HVAC must be ripped out before James can evaluate the rest of our house, but he was able to show us where we have crawlspace and where it is slab. We highly recommend this very knowledgeable and professional technician. We trust him and are grateful he and the other contractor are able to work so well together to try to help us during one of the worst nightmares of our lives. Their calm mannerisms are helping us not panic, and we know they could have padded the bill and ripped out the sub floor. Not wanting to do this shows us even more so that we can trust James to make the best decision to help us. He got down in our crawlspace that is very short in freezing weather and took photos of everything. He is dedicated and he really cares.

I have had several jobs done by this company. When they say that customer satisfaction is their priority, they mean it. The first job was a waterproofing for my basement, which has worked flawlessly thus far after nearly 4 years. The most recent job is much more complicated. I got a battery backup sump pump and crawl space encapsulation. It was actually fairly poorly done, and there was a flood in my basement a couple of days later, ironically, as well as a lot of water damage in my laundry room amongst a few other things. I reached out to them about it and spoke with Field Supervisor Levi, and GM Joe Manion, who are both spectacular men to interact with in a situation like this. They were both kind and understanding of the difficult time I was having. They not only fixed the issues the last crew didn't complete or didn't do well, but they also made up for it by offering either a discount on my job or the option of additional work done. I chose to get some additional work done as I needed it anyway, and the experience was as fantastic as I am used to from this company. The crew they sent out to do my basement egress window were superb, and the foreman was more than accommodating and polite the entire time. I really wish I could remember the foreman's name. You can tell he really cares about his crew, his customer, and is very skilled at his job. Overall, I am very happy with not only the quality of work out of this company, but also the lengths they will go to make things right for a customer. I will absolutely use them again if I ever need any more work that they provide!

This past Friday while I was on my way out the door for work while a monsoon was coming down I went through my basement which had previously had the interior drainage done in April around 90% of my basement floor. And noticed a large amount of water running in from an old abandoned pipe that runs through the block and my sewage pipe that runs through block. I called Ohio basement authority to come and take a look to see what they can do to fix the issue and they had scheduled me with Kyle. He was very courteous and apologetic about what was going on. He presented to me what his plan was to fix the leaking issue and not only did he do that. He put on a clear paint like material on a spot where just a small amount of water was coming through and re routed my wiring that went into my sump pit to make it look more neat and presentable and to keep it from catching on the sump pump float. He told me he would do it as if it was his house and I really appreciate everything that he had done. Thanks again Kyle.

Ultimately we decided to patch the crack with another company, because the Basement Authority’s solution was quite pricey. Immediately realized I didn’t currently need their services. I showed him what my problem was, and he actually with the use of one little tool fixed my problem perfectly on all five window wells. He was such a friendly guy great customer service. I would highly highly recommend using them if you would ever need waterproofing cement, leveling, or any other other other services I would definitely give them a call. I believe he is out of the Kent office. I’m not sure he did have a 216 area code exchange, he did a fabulous job if I ever need any waterproofing or here of anybody that needs it I would definitely tell him to call these people

Ohio Basement Authority installed an egress window for me. Joe Stuber and his crew were a pleasure to work with. The excavation and block cutting necessary for installation of an egress window are messy jobs. I appreciated the fact that Joe and his crew took extra care to keep the mess to an absolute minimum. Kevin was our inspector and was patient with our many questions and sincere in what our personal needs were. Ben was our foreman, he was also extremely patient with questions, and there were many. He made sure we knew exactly what was going on at each stage. All of the Crew that worked with us were courteous, hard working, and friendly! We had Ty with Ben one day! Jeremiah came for electrician consult, it was a pleasure to meet him. Next Crew with Ben was Trenton and K.C….these young men worked hard all day to complete this job and clean up was perfect. Corey did our electrical work and made sure all was safe….as we had some confusing electric lines under there! I feel so satisfied with this experience. And safe and secure in my home! Job was substantially completed 10/07 And full payment was made on 10/08 With the agreement that a 10 foot condensation hose from the dehumidifier would be delivered to me on 10/11 so the Aprilair unit could be more centrally located . Currently hose is only 5 feet long. Also the delivery team did not provide any verbal instructions except to press arrows up or down to set the humidity settings . I was told with purchase that instructions would be given to me and explain maintenance .The agreement was the 10 foot hose would be delivered 10/11 and at that time instructions on care of unit would be provided verbally . I was there from 9a-4:15 and did not receive any calls to reschedule .

Chase came to our house to do an inspection to figure out where the water in our basement was coming from. He was very knowledgeable, kind, professional and thorough. He answered all of our questions and did a great job explaining everything to us. Chase was very easy to talk to and is passionate about his job and you can tell he really wants to help his customers. He is very organized and used his expertise to help us with figure out options for a solution. I would highly recommend Chase for a home inspection. We enjoyed the time we spent with him.

We would like to share our experience with Zeke Fowler who came to our home today (2/16/23) to provide a free estimate to repair our front porch steps that are leaning by 1-1/4 inch. Although we haven't committed to the service and are still considering all our options, Zeke was was extremely professional, very thorough, trustworthy and a wealth of knowledge. He actually went above and beyond by getting to the root cause of the leaning and pointed out other areas that could be of concern. He was able to point out that our down spouts are not draining the rain water out to the street, thus causing water to pool and saturate the front yard where a large size dip has formed over a couple of decades. So, he not only provided the reasonable cost to perform the repairs but he also pointed out other areas of our property, specifically the sidewalks where there is some unevenness that has the potential for trip hazards. We are so thankful that Zeke was the person that Ohio Basement Authority sent to our home today, because we can't imagine anyone else with more expert knowledge than him. If you are a homeowner in need of their services, we highly recommend Zeke to be the person you could request. Thanks again.
