James ******* is fantastic. He quickly identified several issues in our home using advanced equipment and visual inspection. He explained the process of the crawlspace encapsulation and showed us photos so that we understood exactly what is beneath our home. He has worked very well with the contractor from ****, Wayne, who is also excellent. The two of them have agreed on several things, and will work together to try to save our subfloor we were previously told had to be ripped out. We have very scary issues with our house (mold, sagging beams from a dishwasher leak and the foundation shifting due to this). James has drawn a diagram of the house as far as he can for now. Wayne from **** is doing the same. Our HVAC must be ripped out before James can evaluate the rest of our house, but he was able to show us where we have crawlspace and where it is slab. We highly recommend this very knowledgeable and professional technician. We trust him and are grateful he and the other contractor are able to work so well together to try to help us during one of the worst nightmares of our lives. Their calm mannerisms are helping us not panic, and we know they could have padded the bill and ripped out the sub floor. Not wanting to do this shows us even more so that we can trust James to make the best decision to help us. He got down in our crawlspace that is very short in freezing weather and took photos of everything. He is dedicated and he really cares.

I had leaks all across my basement, so I called Ohio Basement Authority since I saw them working on a neighbors property. Jared Brown, my project manager, inspected the problems and got a plan in motion within days of calling. He helped me with any questions I had (even after completion) and kept the project goals reasonable. Once construction started (busy season, month delay) they were done within a few days. Job was done quickly and professionally with the mess very well contained. I definitely recommend them if you’re having foundation issues like I was!

We recently had our annual maintenance appointment, and our technician, Ruben, discovered that our sump pump needed to be replaced. He went above and beyond by helping us ensure the replacement was covered under our warranty and was able to install the new sump pump the very same day. Ruben was professional, honest, and extremely helpful throughout the process. We’re especially grateful that he caught the issue before it led to any water damage or other problems. Excellent service and a great experience overall!

I had basement work done by OBA in 2015, removal of French drain in a house that was built in 1932. Wall guard, triple safe sump pump, and dehumidifier installed. Best thing I ever did. March 2026 experienced @ 12 hour power outage. Sump pump failed(10+years old). Had a OBA service call that determined sump pump had to be replaced. That size pump no longer available, and a larger pump (AquaStop triple pump)would require enlarging the pit. The battery had been replaced 2 years prior, but had failed with the pump not working. The service was scheduled and I was not charged for the new battery & case, since it was only 2 yrs. old. They also gave me a 3 yr. maintenance extension, at a discounted price. 03/31/26 a 3 man crew arrived on time, covered everything with plastic and completed the job in 3 hours. Did a great job cleaning up and replacing the furniture that had to be moved. Excellent work, Tracyn, Ali and Blu.

I recently hired this company to install two basement egress windows in one of my rental properties, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park! From the first call, they were super quick to respond—got back to me right away, answered all my questions, and scheduled everything efficiently without any hassle. The team that came out was incredibly professional: polite, knowledgeable, and clearly experienced with egress installations. They did a fantastic job on both windows—clean cuts, solid work around the foundation, great attention to detail, and they left the site spotless when they were done. Troy Wilson came out to my house to look at something in my basement that I have had issues with since the basement system was put in. The guy who came and did my inspection 2 years ago told me this was not covered under the life time warranty they provide. I thought that was ridiculous. But I had to live with it. Irritated with them now, Troy came out this year and said "yeah I'm going to fix that for you. It's covered under the warranty." FANTASTIC!!!!! I am thankful for Troy coming out and being professional and no bullshit crap. No excuses just fixed it. Super happy with him. Thanks again.

Dan as an inspector came out to our house and had a genuine interest in our home, the problem we were having and thoroughly explained his background experience and cared for us. Dan did not even mention a sale price to us once during our inspection. I felt he trusted and comfortable with our experience with OBA because of our experience with Dan. Will be giving them a call in the future for our Basement repair needs.

We’re currently having basement work done by OBA. During the process, their electrician, Brandon, identified a serious issue with our main panel. We’d had problems in the past but hadn’t realized the extent of the danger. OBA was great about working with us to include a panel replacement in the project scope. Brandon completed the job the same day and was a pleasure to talk with. Their plumber, Cory, also stayed to help and had our water system back online that same day. *I’ll provide further updates once the structural work is complete, but so far, so good!

After 30 years in our home, our foundation was in serious need of repair. Ohio Basement Authorities was selected to do the repair work needed to stabilize the home. They were very professional and quickly demonstrated that they had the expertise and equipment needed to effectively and efficiently get the job done. Very impressive was that a team of just 3 dug out a massive amount of dirt along the entire side of our house which then allowed them to install necessary materials to stabilize the foundation. Additionally, these 3 completed all needed work in less than a day and a half! Big shout out to Elijah, Robert and Isaiah W. from the Ohio Basement Authorities Branch in Cincinnati Ohio. I highly recommend them to anyone needing foundation repair.

Vanessa from the Ohio Basement Authority assessed my basement experiencing water intrusion. She and her colleague spent 2 hours with me discussing the issue and how they would address it. I felt satisfied with their knowledge, expertise, and their sales professionalism. Ultimately we decided to patch the crack with another company, because the Basement Authority’s solution was quite pricey. We plan to call Vanessa and Ohio Basement Authority if the problem persists post patch job.

I had Jacob come out for an inspection after I purchased this property. He was friendly easy-going and just the type of sales person that I needed for this only negative side to all this is I wish that the 10% was a little pushed out further versus the same day, I think that’s kind of the downside of everything. However, his approach to fixing the situation measuring the walls figuring out everything was gonna flow through was great. I had zero issues directly with him. He was awesome great sales understanding and wasnt pushing things down my throat and somebody like me coming from sales. I don’t like the pushy sales man cause I was that.he didn’t really have an issue building great Rapport with me at all. And he was very truthful. He explained things very simply and easily although I did my resrarch to find out what my issues were so i had an idea of how things would go today, and was able to have a better idea/ plan for myself; he explained this is what we need to get done this is how our company does it. This is how we’re gonna do it. Also, I think what helped is he understood the scope of the work being a former foreman himself. I appreciate him coming out and this guy needs a raise or some more commission great dude great attitude, and great integrity, even better not a pushy sales man. Thank you jacob and thank you for being a man of integerity and honesty i appreciate it very, very much.

We would like to share our experience with Zeke Fowler who came to our home today (2/16/23) to provide a free estimate to repair our front porch steps that are leaning by 1-1/4 inch. Although we haven't committed to the service and are still considering all our options, Zeke was was extremely professional, very thorough, trustworthy and a wealth of knowledge. He actually went above and beyond by getting to the root cause of the leaning and pointed out other areas that could be of concern. He was able to point out that our down spouts are not draining the rain water out to the street, thus causing water to pool and saturate the front yard where a large size dip has formed over a couple of decades. So, he not only provided the reasonable cost to perform the repairs but he also pointed out other areas of our property, specifically the sidewalks where there is some unevenness that has the potential for trip hazards. We are so thankful that Zeke was the person that Ohio Basement Authority sent to our home today, because we can't imagine anyone else with more expert knowledge than him. If you are a homeowner in need of their services, we highly recommend Zeke to be the person you could request. Thanks again.

We got scheduled and then our work date was moved up due to a cancellation, so our entire job (estimate to completion) was finished in less than a week.
