History
In 2009, Doug Secrest saw a need for foundation repair and waterproofing services in Columbus, Ohio. With that mission in mind, he founded Ohio Basement Authority. Then, in 2019, OBA partnered with Groundworks, the nation’s leading and fastest-growing foundation and water management solutions company. Within a year, OBA expanded its service coverage to Cincinnati. In 2024, OBA merged with The Basement Guys and Ohio Basement Systems to unite under one brand. Ohio Basement Authority is a 2024 winner of the Columbus Top Workplace Award, a recipient of the BBB Torch Award for Ethics, and is an A+ rated accredited business with the Better Business Bureau. When decisions had to be made, he took my thoughts in the consideration and called the engineer to help Guide him for the proper solution. His two partners, Ronald Gibson and Keevan Booker, We’re both great. The crew was courteous, personable, And respectful of our property.

They fixed my sump pump and drain problem 4 years ago and have kept up with me to make sure it is all working properly. Always a pleasure with their employees.

Martimiano, Alex and Angel did a great job installing a new sump pump with battery back up. They made sure to cover all the flooring leading to the basement. Martimiano explained exactly what they were going to do. They completed the job in about 3 hours and cleaned everything up. They were very professional. I would definitely recommend OBA.

Hollis was the representative who walked the property and detailed the issues. Many issues beyond what I understood to be the problem I called to address. He was professional and did a good job advising me on what problems I had. OBA has a pretty good setup of information to explain why things settled, and his their project can fix the problem. I did sign with them for work to be done.
