Ohio Basement Authority Partners with Habitat for Humanity for a Third Consecutive Year

This year, the team at Ohio Basement Authority (OBA) partnered with Habitat for Humanity. As part of the companywide Build Together 2024 initiative, employees assisted in home builds for members of the local communities.

OBA’s parent company, Groundworks, donated $100,000 Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the country to support long-term stability through safe and affordable housing. Part of the Goodworks by Groundworks program, this partnership gives 5,000 employees the chance to volunteer in 63 communities throughout the year.

Cincinnati

This April, OBA employees spent the day with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati. Nine dedicated team members spent the day at the build site installing a fence for the future homeowner and painting the siding of the new home. Their efforts were featured on WXIX (FOX) Cincinnati

“[The] totally amazing and awesome volunteer group put up [the] East side of wooden fence. I know I speak for the homeowner when we say how grateful we are for your help in building this home for a local family.” – Wally, HFH of Greater Cincinnati Site Supervisor

Columbus

In September, the Columbus team partnered with MidOhio Habitat for Humanity to install trim and flooring for a new home. The nine OBA team members were thrilled to be volunteering with MidOhio HFH for a third consecutive year.

“The service and commitment of companies like Ohio Basement Authority make our purpose of connecting people to hope and opportunity through obtaining and maintaining affordable housing possible.  Affordable housing is a complex issue that will take all of us to help solve.  We are grateful for the service and partnership.” -Brandi AL-Issa, President & Ceo of Habitat of Humanity MidOhio

Cleveland

Habitat for Humanity of Portgage County hosted seven Ohio Basement Authority team members at a home build on October 19. Volunteers assisted in installing trim and dry wall around the home in Ravenna, Ohio.
