Ohio Basement Authority Sponsors Ohio Geological Society Golf Outing
It’s healthy to have a natural curiosity about how our earth works. At Ohio Basement Authority, we frequently address issues caused by problematic soil. We took this to another level by supporting an organization focused on geology and education.
We proudly sponsored the Ohio Geological Society’s Annual Golf Outing, which was held on Sept. 5, 2024, at Chapel Hill Golf Course in Mount Vernon.
About the Society
Established in 1961, the Ohio Geological Society is a non-profit service organization affiliated with the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG).
The Society comprises approximately 200 members, including professional geologists, individuals working in geology-related fields, geology students, and enthusiasts. Its mission focuses on advancing geological science and associated disciplines, sharing geological knowledge to benefit its members, and fostering geological education throughout Ohio.
Members gather regularly in central Ohio for various activities, including technical presentations, social events, field excursions, and educational workshops. These events cover a range of topics related to natural resources, such as petroleum, natural gas, groundwater, coal, and industrial minerals.
Join Us In Your Support
Along with being a Gold sponsor, our Columbus-based team participated in the fun-filled 18-hole golf scramble. It was a pleasure to hit the greens for a wonderful organization and network with many amazing people.
This golf outing is just one example of how our team gives back to events and causes through community involvement. For more information about Goodworks, our community outreach program, please visit www.groundworks.com/goodworks.
