Ohio Basement Authority Supports Head for the Cure 5K Cleveland
Cancer touches many lives, including those in our own neighborhoods. It’s important to band together and lend a helping hand wherever possible.
When Ohio Basement Authority learned about a yearly fundraising event aimed at raising awareness and funds for brain cancer, we couldn’t wait to participate. We proudly supported a local Head for the Cure 5K race, held May 11, 2024, at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Along with sponsoring the event and staffing an informational tent, we donated to the cause and hit the pavement by participating in the race.
The 9th annual event was a huge success, with more than 900 participants, 40 teams, and $81K raised. Funds benefit the Rose Ella Burkhardt Brain Tumor Center and Cleveland Clinic.
The 5K was hosted by the Head for the Cure Foundation, a non-profit organization that strives to be a beacon of hope for those affected by brain cancer. They aim to uplift not only patients but also their families, friends, and caregivers. Their goal is to create a supportive community that recognizes and celebrates the remarkable courage, resilient spirit, and unwavering energy demonstrated by those facing this challenging disease.
Fundraisers include 5Ks and other programs throughout communities across the country.
At Ohio Basement Authority, community involvement is as much a passion of ours as helping homeowners create safer and healthier living environments with trusted repair solutions. Please join us in supporting amazing causes like Head for the Cure.
