Dave Syz, the inspector is very professional and compassionate. We have been in this house not even a year and having to deal with leaking into the walls of a beautifully finished basement, albeit a finishing scam, is a harrowing experience. Dave alleviated many concerns and answered every question I had, and some I didn't. He is an asset to his company and I look forward to finishing the job with these guys/gals.

We had a Crawl Space Encapsulation completed recently. We got the recommendation from family that have used them before. We could not have asked for a better Team! Kevin was our inspector and was patient with our many questions and sincere in what our personal needs were. Ben was our foreman, he was also extremely patient with questions, and there were many. He made sure we knew exactly what was going on at each stage. All of the Crew that worked with us were courteous, hard working, and friendly! We had Ty with Ben one day! Jeremiah came for electrician consult, it was a pleasure to meet him. Next Crew with Ben was Trenton and K.C….these young men worked hard all day to complete this job and clean up was perfect. Corey did our electrical work and made sure all was safe….as we had some confusing electric lines under there! I feel so satisfied with this experience. And safe and secure in my home! We just bought a new house, and even though we've only been here for the winter, I can already tell that Basement Authority is a five-star operation. 1. They include a lifetime warranty on their work. Not just YOUR lifetime – the lifetime OF THE PROPERTY. They did the work on our basement for the previous owners, and when we bought the house, we were able to have the warranty transferred to us. If we ever leave, the next owners will be able to get the same warranty. That's how you know they do good work! 2. A week ago, I had my first yearly check-up with Matt. Ohio Basement Authority called ME to remind me that they were running a "free check-up" deal, and we scheduled it right away! They're very conscientious that way. 3. Matt is clearly enthusiastic about his work with Basement Authority, and I can tell that the same could probably be said for just about everyone working there. He was eager to tell me all about their revolutionary advances in basement filtration / reinforcement technology – some of which were only invented in the past decade. He wasn't afraid to take his time and walk me through every single system at work in my basement and the logic behind them. 4. Their work is transformative! For our first 2 months living here, the basement looked so normal that we simply thought the basement work (done by Basement Authority for the previous owners) was preventative – maybe fixing some cracks or installing drainage pipes. My mind was blown when Matt showed me pictures of our basement from 9 months ago! It had been a total mess – mud seeping in through the corners of the foundation, nauseating puddles of black mold working their way up the walls, leaks on both sides of the basement. It's a miracle they were able to fix it up into our current "normal" basement! 5. When I asked Matt for his opinion on some additional basement work we were thinking of doing (reinforcing an additional wall), he told me how Basement Authority would go about it, and he added that they had a payment plan option for 2 years same as cash. Even the financial aspect makes sense! There you have it, 5 reasons for 5 stars. Even just at the start of my experience with Basement Authority, I know they will not disappoint me!

Jacob Nesbitt in my home was a positive experience, and a refreshing experience after other estimators. He was thorough, honest, and earned my trust with his demeaner. He reviewed my options, quoted financing, and I choose to use his company because of his respectful communication style. I felt confident after getting my free quote that negotiating the complex situation in my basement would not only be possible with him, but that we would succeed in getting the results we need. Honestly, its difficult to open your home to a stranger who you need help from on a large project, and it was nice to feel good about it for a change. Ohio Basement Authority is a good mix of national corporation but still has a small business feel.

We had 5 different companies come out and look at our crawlspace. James, our inspector with Ohio Basement Authority, was the only one who we truly felt had our best interest in mind. He was the only one who we really felt listened to our concerns/wants and went above and beyond to create the solution that worked best for our situation. The knowledge-base he extended to us throughout the process and his availability for questions and follow-ups was second to none. The level of service and commitment James put into working with us not only will have us coming back to OBA exclusively for waterproofing needs, but also will be the first and only recommendation I will make to anyone I encounter needing similar solutions. Troy Wilson came out to my house to look at something in my basement that I have had issues with since the basement system was put in. The guy who came and did my inspection 2 years ago told me this was not covered under the life time warranty they provide. I thought that was ridiculous. But I had to live with it. Irritated with them now, Troy came out this year and said "yeah I'm going to fix that for you. It's covered under the warranty." FANTASTIC!!!!! I am thankful for Troy coming out and being professional and no bullshit crap. No excuses just fixed it. Super happy with him. Thanks again.

Nate, Tay, Mike and Cameron performed their duties in an excellent manner. All were very knowledgeable in their assignments. They completed the job in 2 days versus 3 days as scheduled by the salesman. They insured that the house remained as clean as they first saw it, plus insured our cellar was all picked up and ready for restocking of bins after 48 hrs. They found out that a piece of equipment that was previously ordered was not required thusly reducing my total bill considerably. Will recommend the company to anyone requiring their basement, cellar or crawl space to be repaired.

William and his crew were great! Very professional and courteous. Issues were as follows: Evan the salesman mentioned that we might need to remove the laundry sink at our first walkthrough. But around one week before they were due to arrive for the job, I called to ask about it and he had forgotten about it. He did help me find a really good plumber at a discount to correct this. The next issue was that the board to repair the base of the house was not going to fit, and they did not have the right equipment to do that job. The job got postponed by at least 2 weeks due to other scheduled jobs and staff vacation. In addition, William had to do a job during the morning of our scheduled work which put them back 1/2 day. I really appreciate that this company is family owned, but it feels like they are stretched a bit thin with staffing and equipment.

Louis Dave Christ and crew did an amazing job! They worked so hard for 3 days repairing and waterproofing my basement. Everyday they cleaned everything before leaving, sweeping the entire basement and foyer. They sprayed all the mud off my driveway and porch. Every morning Louis asked if I had any questions and showed me the completed work before leaving. I am so impressed with them. I'm not sure how so many things went wrong with the water proofing service of our basement, but I am confident these guys fixed the problems. From estimate to completion, Tyler and Curtis were extremely informative and professional. Tyler was very thorough in explaining the process and assisting with the financing to get us started and Curtis and his team worked diligently to get the project completed, keeping us informed as to their progress at the end of each day. While this wasn’t something we expected or had planned for, we are grateful for Ohio Basement Authority’s work in addressing the problem by getting us scheduled quickly, stabilizing our house and providing us with a with a sense of relief going forward. We wouldn’t hesitate in referring Ohio Basement Authority to anyone with similar issues that need addressed.

Job was substantially completed 10/07 And full payment was made on 10/08 With the agreement that a 10 foot condensation hose from the dehumidifier would be delivered to me on 10/11 so the Aprilair unit could be more centrally located . Currently hose is only 5 feet long. Also the delivery team did not provide any verbal instructions except to press arrows up or down to set the humidity settings . I was told with purchase that instructions would be given to me and explain maintenance .The agreement was the 10 foot hose would be delivered 10/11 and at that time instructions on care of unit would be provided verbally . I was there from 9a-4:15 and did not receive any calls to reschedule .

There was a crack in the foundation in my crawl space. I had received 3 estimates, all with 3 different solutions. I sure was confused. I contacted a few other companies and finally I called Ohio Basement Authority. Nick took his time and thoroughly explained the issue and provided a solution. He was the only one that measured both the crawl space and the room above it and determined that the crack was not a threat to the foundation, explaining why there was not a reason to do anything at this time. I did decide to have the crawl space encapsulated. Nick's team was very courteous and respectful while in my home and completed the job in a timely manner. Don't waste your time in contacting other companies. Nick at Ohio Basement Authority knows his stuff and has the best team ever!

They scheduled an appointment within just a couple of days, which was impressive. Joe Rhoads came out for the inspection, and he was outstanding. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to clearly explain everything in detail. He made sure we understood the issues, the solutions, and never rushed the process.
