I had a whole bunch of work (encapsulation, new sump pumps, new insulation, the works) done on my crawl space by Ohio Basement Authority (OBA) in June 2026. I had so much water in the crawl space that I am almost surprised that the city didn't tax me for having a pool. All the OBA guys that I interacted with were nice chill dudes. My initial meeting was with Everette and he provided a ton of information. It was a crash course in crawl spaces. The work was done later by William and his crew (Steven, Owen, Levi, and the other guys who I have unfortunately forgotten their names – sorry). The whole crew was all really friendly, kept me updated on what was going on, and answered my questions; as silly as those questions may have been. It's easy to overlook the crawl space, it's not exactly a place where folks spend a lot of time. But water where it's not supposed to be will be the ruin of a house. Call the OBA guys and get ahead of the game.

Louis Dave Christ and crew did an amazing job! They worked so hard for 3 days repairing and waterproofing my basement. Everyday they cleaned everything before leaving, sweeping the entire basement and foyer. They sprayed all the mud off my driveway and porch. Every morning Louis asked if I had any questions and showed me the completed work before leaving. I am so impressed with them. When the project was completed I could see he had a sense of pride in a job well done! Thank you for your hard work.

Eric Gibson, the crew leader, showed up as scheduled, explained what was going to be done, and performed his work in a responsible and competent manner. When he discovered another problem, he repaired it and, thus, saved us from major issues in the future. We have already recommended the Ohio Basement Authority to three of our neighbors.

Justin was wonderful. He provided an array of ways to go about my project depending on what made sense for my budget. My favorite part about Justin’s free quote was that he truly prioritized what I needed & avoided the opportunity to upsell me on unnecessary solutions. After a 4 inch flood in our basement, we were devastated. We scheduled the free inspection and met Max. From the moment he came in, he knew exactly what he was talking about. He found the problems, even the ones we weren't aware of. After identifying our issues, he had the solutions to best fix it and spent the time we needed to fully understand. We have a plan and a path forward. We look forward to working with moustache Max!

There was a crack in the foundation in my crawl space. I had received 3 estimates, all with 3 different solutions. I sure was confused. I contacted a few other companies and finally I called Ohio Basement Authority. Nick took his time and thoroughly explained the issue and provided a solution. He was the only one that measured both the crawl space and the room above it and determined that the crack was not a threat to the foundation, explaining why there was not a reason to do anything at this time. I did decide to have the crawl space encapsulated. Nick's team was very courteous and respectful while in my home and completed the job in a timely manner. Don't waste your time in contacting other companies. Nick at Ohio Basement Authority knows his stuff and has the best team ever!

I called to have the foundation of my home repaired. My floor boards were moving, there was a crack in my center wall. My anxiety was through the roof and I was dreading spending several thousands or tens of thousands of dollars. Mr. Hollis Smith showed up promptly, professionally and friendly. I explained to him my concerns and showed him the issues. After a few hours he basically tells me that the guy I hired to put jack stands in the basement installed them wrong. He also cranked them too high, pushing up on the floors and causing the crack in the wall and the floorboard separation. He then tells me the jack stands were not even needed. What I thought was a massive hole and faulty foundation was perfectly fine. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone. He could have really taken me to the bank for work I did not need done and he didn’t. That’s integrity! He is looking at a few other jobs that we would like to have now. Jobs there are not urgent. We look forward to working with his professionalism, honesty and expertise!

We had OBA lift our concrete home entrance pad and connected walkway. Over the years this had become a safety hazard. My home is unusualy long, large and awkwardly positioned on a steep slope. I worried for years it was too big of a task to repair thoroughly and would be far too expensive. I had quotes from various experts and never felt confident with any of their solutions. But yesterday I met Dan with Ohio Basement Authority and I have to say: MY OPINION CHANGED QUICKLY. I will never be able to thank @Dan Lauterbur enough for our home evaluation. He worked with precision and great attention to detail, addressing every nagging question, and concern I threw at him with a plethora of knowledge and expertise. His passion for construction and foundation repair was evident. Literally every minute was a fountain of knowledge; he did not rush and spent nearly 4 hours with me to complete our home evaluation, sketch and entire contract. Bringing over 25 years of experience as a general contractor, I can rest easy knowing Dan left no stone unturned during the process. Very excited to continue working with Dan as our Project Manager over the next three months and see our dreams come to fruition!!! I truly do not believe there is another foundation company out there that will have the man power for this monster of a project (32 push peirs, driveway deck, floors and more); all-the-while still making the process stress-free, smooth and affordable. Thank you @Dan Lauterbur!!! Thank you @Ohio Basement Authority!!! Best regards, Karl Rosenberg

We had Ohio Basement Authority out to do a complete encapsulation on our 2500 square foot crawl space. From the start of the process our sales representative Joel was extremely helpful. He worked up several different options for us and never tried to over sell he just genuinely tried to help us through the process. Once the work began Richard and his crew, John, Johan and Jhorfry were extremely professional. They always communicated when they would be arriving, updated us on the progress and worked long hours to hit their intended goals for the day. They left each day with their work area clean and organized and made sure at the end of the project that everything was how it was originally. We highly recommend Richard and his crew for any service or projects their experience made this project go very smoothly. Thanks guys !

I am so very pleased with the service that I received from Chase Clemens. He spent time listening to my concerns. He explained everything thoroughly. Chase showed me what he was talking about, why I had the issues I do and how to fix the problems. I am very impressed with his professional approach. I highly recommend him.

I had basement work done by OBA in 2015, removal of French drain in a house that was built in 1932. Wall guard, triple safe sump pump, and dehumidifier installed. Best thing I ever did. March 2026 experienced @ 12 hour power outage. Sump pump failed(10+years old). Had a OBA service call that determined sump pump had to be replaced. That size pump no longer available, and a larger pump (AquaStop triple pump)would require enlarging the pit. The battery had been replaced 2 years prior, but had failed with the pump not working. The service was scheduled and I was not charged for the new battery & case, since it was only 2 yrs. old. They also gave me a 3 yr. maintenance extension, at a discounted price. 03/31/26 a 3 man crew arrived on time, covered everything with plastic and completed the job in 3 hours. Did a great job cleaning up and replacing the furniture that had to be moved. Excellent work, Tracyn, Ali and Blu.

Our inspector James came today and it was obvious he was an expert. He arrived in a timely manner and was very nice professional and knowledgeable . He took time to answer all our questions and explained the process both verbally and with videos. James presented in a very trustworthy way without being pushy. If he would have been pushy we would not have scheduled the service! He was A + across the board! Thank you!

Vanessa from the Ohio Basement Authority assessed my basement experiencing water intrusion. She and her colleague spent 2 hours with me discussing the issue and how they would address it. I felt satisfied with their knowledge, expertise, and their sales professionalism. Ultimately we decided to patch the crack with another company, because the Basement Authority’s solution was quite pricey. We plan to call Vanessa and Ohio Basement Authority if the problem persists post patch job.

Jacob Nesbitt in my home was a positive experience, and a refreshing experience after other estimators. He was thorough, honest, and earned my trust with his demeaner. He reviewed my options, quoted financing, and I choose to use his company because of his respectful communication style. I felt confident after getting my free quote that negotiating the complex situation in my basement would not only be possible with him, but that we would succeed in getting the results we need. Honestly, its difficult to open your home to a stranger who you need help from on a large project, and it was nice to feel good about it for a change. Ohio Basement Authority is a good mix of national corporation but still has a small business feel.

Chase was very helpful in explaining what was going on with the foundation of our home. He walked us through different options available and how each option worked (or didn't work) for our specific situation. I now have a better understanding of our home and the steps we can take to fix the problem.

Martimiano, Alex and Angel did a great job installing a new sump pump with battery back up. They made sure to cover all the flooring leading to the basement. Martimiano explained exactly what they were going to do. They completed the job in about 3 hours and cleaned everything up. They were very professional. I would definitely recommend OBA.
