I was really impressed with the quoting experience with Mark! He was friendly, thorough and offered me a few different solutions without feeling "salesy". Unfortunately, the potential foundation repairs were for a home that I was under contract to buy, but had to backout because the seller refused to lower the purchase price to compensate. However, based on the genuine experience with Mark, I'd recommend this company!

Martimiano, Alex and Angel did a great job installing a new sump pump with battery back up. They made sure to cover all the flooring leading to the basement. Martimiano explained exactly what they were going to do. They completed the job in about 3 hours and cleaned everything up. They were very professional. I would definitely recommend OBA.

Foundation problems are a very stressful situation to deal with, but from the beginning Ohio Basement Authority made the process effortless and brought us peace of mind not only in the choices we made for our solution but also in the financial aspect of it as well. James Sandlin was courteous and friendly from the second he stepped into our home. He was very thoroughly with the review of our foundation and the needs we were looking to meet. Sometimes in these situations it's all about the experience and he truly made this experience all the more better for us. He walked us through and educated us on the different problems foundations can have and the different solutions that help match the problems we were facing. He even gave us multiple financial choices that helped us choose what worked the best for our needs. John Carlson was our electrician and he had to run a dedicated line for our new sump pump. He was very professional and didn't give up even though our old house threw some pretty big curveballs his way! Marcus was in charge of the demo, drilling and laying down the new drainage system. He was Uber polite, very knowledgeable and finished in the time allotted.

We had a Crawl Space Encapsulation completed recently. We got the recommendation from family that have used them before. We could not have asked for a better Team! Kevin was our inspector and was patient with our many questions and sincere in what our personal needs were. Ben was our foreman, he was also extremely patient with questions, and there were many. He made sure we knew exactly what was going on at each stage. All of the Crew that worked with us were courteous, hard working, and friendly! We had Ty with Ben one day! Jeremiah came for electrician consult, it was a pleasure to meet him. Next Crew with Ben was Trenton and K.C….these young men worked hard all day to complete this job and clean up was perfect. Corey did our electrical work and made sure all was safe….as we had some confusing electric lines under there! I feel so satisfied with this experience. And safe and secure in my home! I consulted with many contractors before choosing Ohio Basement Authority. Their online reputation seemed legitimate and my initial consultation with Chelsa immediately credentialed their approach, which seemed very broad in their expertise, thorough, and thoughtful. Their availability to both estimate and install the solution was uncommonly well organized. Chelsa impressed me so much I was a tad worried it might be one of those deals where everything sounds good initially, but the execution could disappoint. Wow – there was no disappointment; the execution was flawless. I don’t know who owns or runs this company, but you can tell their leadership has it together and hires good people. Iran H, Chris M, and Zach K arrived early on the morning of the install and ready to do some serious work. Immediately you could tell – this is what they do and they are both good at it and very experienced. They hustled without rushing, and the finished product was incredible. When examining the space together after they were done, I realized I failed to communicate a few small items that Chelsa and I discussed during the solution design. Iran, Chris and Zach were understanding and gracious with their times; they addressed and resolved all the additional items. Not going to lie – this company is not the cheapest option I looked at. But if you want a thing done once and done correctly – you can seriously trust in them based on my experience. Check out the before and after photos. No more horrible smells, high humidity promoting mold to threaten the structural integrity, and unsealed openings for rodent infiltrations. Thank you all for doing such an excellent job!

Great work deserves high praise, and I have nothing but high praise for Ohio Basement Authority (“OBA”) and, in particular, the individuals that performed my work. I worked with the folks at their Cincinnati office on push pier installation and poly injection to stabilize and correct a foundation settlement issue on my house. Although I interviewed three different companies specializing in this type of work, I was most impressed with OBA for many reasons and ultimately decided to go with OBA, a decision which I am glad that I made. I initially met with Mark Overmyer for the initial evaluation and proposed solution to correct my foundation issue. Right from the start I was really impressed with Mark’s straightforward and comprehensive explanation of the services I would need….Mark is an engineer and even showed me the exact point where my home was starting to settle using his transit and other tools, which helped explain the number and location of push piers needed. His precision and thoroughness really impressed me. However, there were other things that made me decide to use OBA. For example, I found OBA’s contract to be fair and balanced when compared to my review of competitor contracts. Also, OBA does things by the book and got the necessary permits….that unfortunately may not necessarily always the case with other companies. I also spoke to other OBA customers and they had nothing but great things to say about OBA and how pleased they are with the work they performed. I definitely liked OBA’s product warranty and the fact that, unlike some companies, OBA does not charge an excess per foot additional charge should a pier exceed a specific depth, which could really increase the project cost should it occur. The fact that OBA does what it takes to install piers at whatever depth so required to be solid and stable and at no additional charge gave me much peace of mind. The OBA folks on the front end for sales and contracting were excellent to work with, but the actual individuals on the installation crew were even more so and absolutely outstanding in every respect. I had a crew comprised of Sean (the foreman), Elisha and Simon doing the push piers. For the poly injection part of the job I had a crew comprised of Seth (the foreman) and his colleague (sorry but I can’t recall his name). It is rare to see such a hard-working and conscientious group of workers. The moment they arrived, they impressed me with how professional and customer-oriented they were, and it was that way throughout the job. All of the great things I had heard from others about OBA when I was doing my research definitely played out on my job with these individuals. Unfortunately, the Google rating system is only five stars for the highest rating, but these fellows deserve at least eight or ten stars on a five star rating system. I found OBA to be a fine company to do business with, and the individuals I dealt with from there on every stage of the project were exceptional and did a fine job of representing OBA as a company.

This past Friday while I was on my way out the door for work while a monsoon was coming down I went through my basement which had…
This past Friday while I was on my way out the door for work while a monsoon was coming down I went through my basement which had previously had the interior drainage done in April around 90% of my basement floor. And noticed a large amount of water running in from an old abandoned pipe that runs through the block and my sewage pipe that runs through block. I called Ohio basement authority to come and take a look to see what they can do to fix the issue and they had scheduled me with Kyle. He was very courteous and apologetic about what was going on. He presented to me what his plan was to fix the leaking issue and not only did he do that. He put on a clear paint like material on a spot where just a small amount of water was coming through and re routed my wiring that went into my sump pit to make it look more neat and presentable and to keep it from catching on the sump pump float. He told me he would do it as if it was his house and I really appreciate everything that he had done. Thanks again Kyle.

Did everything wanted/expected and more. The last inspection I had was by Steven Fortae he was extremely knowledgeable was able to answer all my questions and explain the why behind the answers. He took his time laser measured everything and explained what to look for outside and I side the house. He even showed me the area of my house were it was engineered wrong (built in 1966). Fortunately for me I already fixed that and he explained what I did right and why and how it should have been designed originally.

I did a crawlspace encapsulation, and they are very affordable. They came out, and it only took them about 2 days to finish thanks guys 🙂

Very friendly when I called in. Scheduled fee estimate although I wasn’t sure they did what I needed. Even Eakle showed up at scheduled time. Immediately realized I didn’t currently need their services. I showed him what my problem was, and he actually with the use of one little tool fixed my problem perfectly on all five window wells. He was such a friendly guy great customer service. I would highly highly recommend using them if you would ever need waterproofing cement, leveling, or any other other other services I would definitely give them a call. I believe he is out of the Kent office. I’m not sure he did have a 216 area code exchange, he did a fabulous job if I ever need any waterproofing or here of anybody that needs it I would definitely tell him to call these people

I have had several jobs done by this company. When they say that customer satisfaction is their priority, they mean it. The first job was a waterproofing for my basement, which has worked flawlessly thus far after nearly 4 years. The most recent job is much more complicated. I got a battery backup sump pump and crawl space encapsulation. It was actually fairly poorly done, and there was a flood in my basement a couple of days later, ironically, as well as a lot of water damage in my laundry room amongst a few other things. I reached out to them about it and spoke with Field Supervisor Levi, and GM Joe Manion, who are both spectacular men to interact with in a situation like this. They were both kind and understanding of the difficult time I was having. They not only fixed the issues the last crew didn't complete or didn't do well, but they also made up for it by offering either a discount on my job or the option of additional work done. I chose to get some additional work done as I needed it anyway, and the experience was as fantastic as I am used to from this company. The crew they sent out to do my basement egress window were superb, and the foreman was more than accommodating and polite the entire time. I really wish I could remember the foreman's name. You can tell he really cares about his crew, his customer, and is very skilled at his job. Overall, I am very happy with not only the quality of work out of this company, but also the lengths they will go to make things right for a customer. I will absolutely use them again if I ever need any more work that they provide!

We have been in this house not even a year and having to deal with leaking into the walls of a beautifully finished basement, albeit a finishing scam, is a harrowing experience.
