He answered all of our questions and did a great job explaining everything to us. Nate, Tay, Mike and Cameron performed their duties in an excellent manner. All were very knowledgeable in their assignments. They completed the job in 2 days versus 3 days as scheduled by the salesman. They insured that the house remained as clean as they first saw it, plus insured our cellar was all picked up and ready for restocking of bins after 48 hrs. They found out that a piece of equipment that was previously ordered was not required thusly reducing my total bill considerably. Will recommend the company to anyone requiring their basement, cellar or crawl space to be repaired.

Dan did not even mention a sale price to us once during our inspection. I felt he trusted and comfortable with our experience with OBA because of our experience with Dan. Had a great experience with Ohio Basement Authority recently when they came out to look at our crawl space for encapsulation. Dakota Hruby was the one who did the inspection, and he was fantastic—super friendly, professional, and really took the time to walk me through everything. What stood out the most was how thorough he was. He didn’t just do a quick once-over and leave; he explained things in detail, answered all my questions, and made sure I actually understood what was going on down there and why certain fixes were recommended. I never felt rushed or pressured, which I really appreciated. Overall, I was really impressed with the quality of the inspection and how much time they spent with me. It felt like they genuinely cared about doing things right. Definitely recommend if you’re looking into crawl space work.

We would like to share our experience with Zeke Fowler who came to our home today (2/16/23) to provide a free estimate to repair our front porch steps that are leaning by 1-1/4 inch. Although we haven't committed to the service and are still considering all our options, Zeke was was extremely professional, very thorough, trustworthy and a wealth of knowledge. He actually went above and beyond by getting to the root cause of the leaning and pointed out other areas that could be of concern. He was able to point out that our down spouts are not draining the rain water out to the street, thus causing water to pool and saturate the front yard where a large size dip has formed over a couple of decades. So, he not only provided the reasonable cost to perform the repairs but he also pointed out other areas of our property, specifically the sidewalks where there is some unevenness that has the potential for trip hazards. We are so thankful that Zeke was the person that Ohio Basement Authority sent to our home today, because we can't imagine anyone else with more expert knowledge than him. If you are a homeowner in need of their services, we highly recommend Zeke to be the person you could request. Thanks again.

Dan Lauterbur came to my house to advise me regarding some basement cracking and seepage that had been previously treated by another company. His assessment was thorough and detailed and noted several concerns that I had not previously been aware of. He was very helpful in advising me as how to best proceed and what to ask and look for when the company that did the original warrantied work returns to readdress the problems. If the original company fails to adequately address the concerns or if new problems arise in the future, I will most certainly be back in touch with the Ohio Basement Authority.

This past Friday while I was on my way out the door for work while a monsoon was coming down I went through my basement which had previously had the interior drainage done in April around 90% of my basement floor. And noticed a large amount of water running in from an old abandoned pipe that runs through the block and my sewage pipe that runs through block. I called Ohio basement authority to come and take a look to see what they can do to fix the issue and they had scheduled me with Kyle. He was very courteous and apologetic about what was going on. He presented to me what his plan was to fix the leaking issue and not only did he do that. He put on a clear paint like material on a spot where just a small amount of water was coming through and re routed my wiring that went into my sump pit to make it look more neat and presentable and to keep it from catching on the sump pump float. He told me he would do it as if it was his house and I really appreciate everything that he had done. Thanks again Kyle.

I consulted with many contractors before choosing Ohio Basement Authority. Their online reputation seemed legitimate and my initial consultation with Chelsa immediately credentialed their approach, which seemed very broad in their expertise, thorough, and thoughtful. Their availability to both estimate and install the solution was uncommonly well organized. Chelsa impressed me so much I was a tad worried it might be one of those deals where everything sounds good initially, but the execution could disappoint. Wow – there was no disappointment; the execution was flawless. I don’t know who owns or runs this company, but you can tell their leadership has it together and hires good people. Iran H, Chris M, and Zach K arrived early on the morning of the install and ready to do some serious work. Immediately you could tell – this is what they do and they are both good at it and very experienced. They hustled without rushing, and the finished product was incredible. When examining the space together after they were done, I realized I failed to communicate a few small items that Chelsa and I discussed during the solution design. Iran, Chris and Zach were understanding and gracious with their times; they addressed and resolved all the additional items. Not going to lie – this company is not the cheapest option I looked at. But if you want a thing done once and done correctly – you can seriously trust in them based on my experience. Check out the before and after photos. No more horrible smells, high humidity promoting mold to threaten the structural integrity, and unsealed openings for rodent infiltrations. Thank you all for doing such an excellent job!

Excellent service and great pricing for a downspout drain repair. The inspector, Mark, did a great job listening to our concerns and then recommending a fix. He walked us through the whole process. On the day of installation, Larry and Kruize did a fantastic job fixing the issue while keeping my landscaping intact as much as possible. I really appreciate how clean they left the install. I would recommend Ohio Basement Authority and these individuals.

I have been noticing cracks in the outside corners of my foundation walls. Contacted a foundation repair company for an opinion. The representative arrived, spent 15 minutes looking at the cracking corners and proceeded to explain what needed to be done to repair my failing foundation. He didn't ask to go inside to look at the basement walls and never once reached out to me (other than emailing his estimate for repair) after leaving. Today I met with Max Waller from your company! From the very beginning Max was amazing! He brought a laser level and showed me the slight changes in the foundation due to settling over time. He went inside to the basement and took additional measurements of changes to the walls. In total he spent close to 2.5 hours inspecting, measuring and answering my many questions. By the time he finished I had complete confidence that his assessment of my foundation was honest and accurate! I plan on having him back out for a follow up towards the end of the summer months. You have special team member in Max!!

My home is unusualy long, large and awkwardly positioned on a steep slope. I worried for years it was too big of a task to repair thoroughly and would be far too expensive. I had quotes from various experts and never felt confident with any of their solutions. But yesterday I met Dan with Ohio Basement Authority and I have to say: MY OPINION CHANGED QUICKLY. I will never be able to thank @Dan Lauterbur enough for our home evaluation. He worked with precision and great attention to detail, addressing every nagging question, and concern I threw at him with a plethora of knowledge and expertise. His passion for construction and foundation repair was evident. Literally every minute was a fountain of knowledge; he did not rush and spent nearly 4 hours with me to complete our home evaluation, sketch and entire contract. Bringing over 25 years of experience as a general contractor, I can rest easy knowing Dan left no stone unturned during the process. Very excited to continue working with Dan as our Project Manager over the next three months and see our dreams come to fruition!!! I truly do not believe there is another foundation company out there that will have the man power for this monster of a project (32 push peirs, driveway deck, floors and more); all-the-while still making the process stress-free, smooth and affordable. We had 5 different companies come out and look at our crawlspace. James, our inspector with Ohio Basement Authority, was the only one who we truly felt had our best interest in mind. He was the only one who we really felt listened to our concerns/wants and went above and beyond to create the solution that worked best for our situation. The knowledge-base he extended to us throughout the process and his availability for questions and follow-ups was second to none. The level of service and commitment James put into working with us not only will have us coming back to OBA exclusively for waterproofing needs, but also will be the first and only recommendation I will make to anyone I encounter needing similar solutions. I had a whole bunch of work (encapsulation, new sump pumps, new insulation, the works) done on my crawl space by Ohio Basement Authority (OBA) in June 2026. I had so much water in the crawl space that I am almost surprised that the city didn't tax me for having a pool. All the OBA guys that I interacted with were nice chill dudes. My initial meeting was with Everette and he provided a ton of information. It was a crash course in crawl spaces. The work was done later by William and his crew (Steven, Owen, Levi, and the other guys who I have unfortunately forgotten their names – sorry). The whole crew was all really friendly, kept me updated on what was going on, and answered my questions; as silly as those questions may have been. It's easy to overlook the crawl space, it's not exactly a place where folks spend a lot of time. But water where it's not supposed to be will be the ruin of a house. Call the OBA guys and get ahead of the game.
