My home is unusualy long, large and awkwardly positioned on a steep slope. I worried for years it was too big of a task to repair thoroughly and would be far too expensive. I had quotes from various experts and never felt confident with any of their solutions. But yesterday I met Dan with Ohio Basement Authority and I have to say: MY OPINION CHANGED QUICKLY. I will never be able to thank @Dan Lauterbur enough for our home evaluation. He worked with precision and great attention to detail, addressing every nagging question, and concern I threw at him with a plethora of knowledge and expertise. His passion for construction and foundation repair was evident. Literally every minute was a fountain of knowledge; he did not rush and spent nearly 4 hours with me to complete our home evaluation, sketch and entire contract. Bringing over 25 years of experience as a general contractor, I can rest easy knowing Dan left no stone unturned during the process. Very excited to continue working with Dan as our Project Manager over the next three months and see our dreams come to fruition!!! I truly do not believe there is another foundation company out there that will have the man power for this monster of a project (32 push peirs, driveway deck, floors and more); all-the-while still making the process stress-free, smooth and affordable. The level of communication and coordination was excellent. Then the crew of Tavieon and Cristo were super workers and very friendly and helpful. Vanessa from the Ohio Basement Authority assessed my basement experiencing water intrusion. She and her colleague spent 2 hours with me discussing the issue and how they would address it. I felt satisfied with their knowledge, expertise, and their sales professionalism. Ultimately we decided to patch the crack with another company, because the Basement Authority’s solution was quite pricey. We plan to call Vanessa and Ohio Basement Authority if the problem persists post patch job.

Any questions I had were answered. They let me know when they were coming and finished in 2 days! I was impressed with this crew and company. Love this system so far, very quiet. They scheduled an appointment within just a couple of days, which was impressive. Joe Rhoads came out for the inspection, and he was outstanding. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to clearly explain everything in detail. He made sure we understood the issues, the solutions, and never rushed the process. You can tell he truly knows his job and cares about helping the customer. Honestly, Joe was a big reason we felt confident moving forward with Ohio Basement Authority. My wife and I had a few contractors out to our property to assess our sinking garage slab issue. We ultimately decided to use Ohio Basement Authority as the consultant Nick came out, took measurements and provided details that others could not. We moved forward with having 5 piers installed under the slab. The team that came out to complete the work was Sean, Nick, and Elijah. What a team! They were awesome! They arrived on time, walked us through the process and had it all completed in the same day. Our floors is now even and the gaps that existed are now gone in the walls. Thank you to your team for taking care of this project for us. They also made it super easy with Payment Options for us as well which is perfect around the holiday season.

He worked up several different options for us and never tried to over sell he just genuinely tried to help us through the process. Once the work began Richard and his crew, John, Johan and Jhorfry were extremely professional. They always communicated when they would be arriving, updated us on the progress and worked long hours to hit their intended goals for the day. They left each day with their work area clean and organized and made sure at the end of the project that everything was how it was originally. We highly recommend Richard and his crew for any service or projects their experience made this project go very smoothly. Thanks guys !

Troy Wilson came out to my house to look at something in my basement that I have had issues with since the basement system was put in. The guy who came and did my inspection 2 years ago told me this was not covered under the life time warranty they provide. I thought that was ridiculous. But I had to live with it. Irritated with them now, Troy came out this year and said "yeah I'm going to fix that for you. It's covered under the warranty." FANTASTIC!!!!! I am thankful for Troy coming out and being professional and no bullshit crap. No excuses just fixed it. Super happy with him. Thanks again.

We just bought a new house, and even though we've only been here for the winter, I can already tell that Basement Authority is a five-star operation. 1. They include a lifetime warranty on their work. Not just YOUR lifetime – the lifetime OF THE PROPERTY. They did the work on our basement for the previous owners, and when we bought the house, we were able to have the warranty transferred to us. If we ever leave, the next owners will be able to get the same warranty. That's how you know they do good work! 2. A week ago, I had my first yearly check-up with Matt. Ohio Basement Authority called ME to remind me that they were running a "free check-up" deal, and we scheduled it right away! They're very conscientious that way. 3. Matt is clearly enthusiastic about his work with Basement Authority, and I can tell that the same could probably be said for just about everyone working there. He was eager to tell me all about their revolutionary advances in basement filtration / reinforcement technology – some of which were only invented in the past decade. He wasn't afraid to take his time and walk me through every single system at work in my basement and the logic behind them. 4. Their work is transformative! For our first 2 months living here, the basement looked so normal that we simply thought the basement work (done by Basement Authority for the previous owners) was preventative – maybe fixing some cracks or installing drainage pipes. My mind was blown when Matt showed me pictures of our basement from 9 months ago! It had been a total mess – mud seeping in through the corners of the foundation, nauseating puddles of black mold working their way up the walls, leaks on both sides of the basement. It's a miracle they were able to fix it up into our current "normal" basement! 5. When I asked Matt for his opinion on some additional basement work we were thinking of doing (reinforcing an additional wall), he told me how Basement Authority would go about it, and he added that they had a payment plan option for 2 years same as cash. Even the financial aspect makes sense! There you have it, 5 reasons for 5 stars. Even just at the start of my experience with Basement Authority, I know they will not disappoint me!

Jayson Wright just completed the first annual maintenance on my OBA sump pump system and he did an excellent job. Jayson was very professional, experienced and knowledgeable. He did a great job explaining my sump pump functioning and how to make sure everything was working properly. We had 5 different companies come out and look at our crawlspace. James, our inspector with Ohio Basement Authority, was the only one who we truly felt had our best interest in mind. He was the only one who we really felt listened to our concerns/wants and went above and beyond to create the solution that worked best for our situation. The knowledge-base he extended to us throughout the process and his availability for questions and follow-ups was second to none. The level of service and commitment James put into working with us not only will have us coming back to OBA exclusively for waterproofing needs, but also will be the first and only recommendation I will make to anyone I encounter needing similar solutions. Very friendly when I called in. Scheduled fee estimate although I wasn’t sure they did what I needed. Even Eakle showed up at scheduled time. Immediately realized I didn’t currently need their services. I showed him what my problem was, and he actually with the use of one little tool fixed my problem perfectly on all five window wells. He was such a friendly guy great customer service. I would highly highly recommend using them if you would ever need waterproofing cement, leveling, or any other other other services I would definitely give them a call. I believe he is out of the Kent office. I’m not sure he did have a 216 area code exchange, he did a fabulous job if I ever need any waterproofing or here of anybody that needs it I would definitely tell him to call these people

We would like to share our experience with Zeke Fowler who came to our home today (2/16/23) to provide a free estimate to repair our front porch steps that are leaning by 1-1/4 inch. Although we haven't committed to the service and are still considering all our options, Zeke was was extremely professional, very thorough, trustworthy and a wealth of knowledge. He actually went above and beyond by getting to the root cause of the leaning and pointed out other areas that could be of concern. He was able to point out that our down spouts are not draining the rain water out to the street, thus causing water to pool and saturate the front yard where a large size dip has formed over a couple of decades. So, he not only provided the reasonable cost to perform the repairs but he also pointed out other areas of our property, specifically the sidewalks where there is some unevenness that has the potential for trip hazards. We are so thankful that Zeke was the person that Ohio Basement Authority sent to our home today, because we can't imagine anyone else with more expert knowledge than him. If you are a homeowner in need of their services, we highly recommend Zeke to be the person you could request. Thanks again.
