Stephen from Ohio Basement Authority was able to come at emergency notice and fix a problem with my sump pump that was causing it to spill water into my basement during a storm. Even if he hadn’t been able to come so quickly he had already put out a notification to other basement waterproofing companies in our area that there was an emergency and that I needed help quickly, putting my needs over that of any monetary motivation.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Kyle R. from Ohio Basement Authority on a challenging basement project, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. While the job took longer than initially expected due to unforeseen complications, Kyle's commitment and professionalism never wavered. He consistently followed through on every promise he made, keeping me informed and at ease throughout the process. Kyle was joined by Slade R. and Bryan K., who were incredible teammates. These two were hardworking, reliable, and just as pleasant to have around. They worked tirelessly, never once slowing down or losing focus. The team as a whole was exceptional, and their efforts were truly appreciated. What stood out the most, though, was Kyle's attitude. Even when problems arose, which inevitably happens with a job of this magnitude, he maintained the most positive and professional demeanor I’ve ever encountered with anyone working in my home. He approached each challenge with a smile, finding solutions without letting it affect the quality of his work or the rapport he built with us. Kyle is the kind of worker you don’t come across every day. If I had to pay double to have Kyle back for every project, I absolutely would—it’s that rare to find someone as dedicated and trustworthy as him. Overall, I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience and the results. If you’re looking for a team that will treat your home with the utmost care, work tirelessly, and deliver outstanding results, you simply can’t go wrong with Kyle, Slade, and Bryan.

This review is relative to the initial inspection and estimating session (mine was regarding my slab foundation). Scot was a pleasure to work with — excellent communication leading up to the appointment, super knowledgeable and informative, and also had a great sense of humor. I was presented with several options, received honest guidance regarding what might be more or less urgent, and I never felt like I was being sold unnecessary services. The initial session takes a bit of time (again, very thorough), but this is communicated upfront. I’m in the process of getting a few estimates before I decide the path forward, but I am happy that I included this company on my short list.

From estimate to completion, Tyler and Curtis were extremely informative and professional. Tyler was very thorough in explaining the process and assisting with the financing to get us started and Curtis and his team worked diligently to get the project completed, keeping us informed as to their progress at the end of each day. While this wasn’t something we expected or had planned for, we are grateful for Ohio Basement Authority’s work in addressing the problem by getting us scheduled quickly, stabilizing our house and providing us with a with a sense of relief going forward. I recently hired this company to install two basement egress windows in one of my rental properties, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park! From the first call, they were super quick to respond—got back to me right away, answered all my questions, and scheduled everything efficiently without any hassle. The team that came out was incredibly professional: polite, knowledgeable, and clearly experienced with egress installations. They did a fantastic job on both windows—clean cuts, solid work around the foundation, great attention to detail, and they left the site spotless when they were done. The new windows look perfect, meet code, and add real value (and safety!) to the rental. If you’re a landlord or homeowner needing egress windows, I highly recommend them. Fast, professional, and top-quality work. Will definitely use them again!

Our finished basement became flooded with ground water. It was bad. We were walking in PUDDLES of water throughout the basement. A family member who is a contractor for home improvements recommended Ohio Basement Authority (OBA) Sara who works for them came to evaluate our basement issues. She fully explained the issue and the process to eliminate it. She discovered this was not a new issue for us as we found mold behind the drywall. The working crew of Tracen, Daniel, Ciadne, and Dryck all were extremely professional and answered all our questions. As we do not have an outside door from our basement, they had to hand carry all the equipment, supplies and old concrete up the basement stairs and out of the house. They did everything possible to mitigate the construction mess from laying drop cloths to putting up plastic curtains. The process for us was quick and efficient. They cleaned up all the construction mess and more. We are extremely pleased with the end product and looking forward to reclaiming our basement as living and storage space. Thank you OBA who not only fixed the issue but really addressed a potential health issue for our family! 10/10. The warranty on the work is good for the lifetime of the house.

Job was substantially completed 10/07 And full payment was made on 10/08 With the agreement that a 10 foot condensation hose from the dehumidifier would be delivered to me on 10/11 so the Aprilair unit could be more centrally located . Currently hose is only 5 feet long. Also the delivery team did not provide any verbal instructions except to press arrows up or down to set the humidity settings . I was told with purchase that instructions would be given to me and explain maintenance .The agreement was the 10 foot hose would be delivered 10/11 and at that time instructions on care of unit would be provided verbally . I was there from 9a-4:15 and did not receive any calls to reschedule .

I had leaks all across my basement, so I called Ohio Basement Authority since I saw them working on a neighbors property. Jared Brown, my project manager, inspected the problems and got a plan in motion within days of calling. He helped me with any questions I had (even after completion) and kept the project goals reasonable. Once construction started (busy season, month delay) they were done within a few days. Job was done quickly and professionally with the mess very well contained. I definitely recommend them if you’re having foundation issues like I was!

Ohio Basement Authority is the top choice for exceptional plumbing services at a competitive price. After maintaining my old sump pump for over 20 years, it finally gave out and it was time for a replacement. I was able to schedule an appointment at a time that worked best for me, and Kyle Lockard came out to install the new sump pump. He did an outstanding job! Kyle not only installed the new pump but also cleaned out a significant amount of grime that had built up over the years. Unlike other companies that simply check if the sump pump is working and call it maintenance, Ohio Basement Authority went above and beyond, as shown in the photos. I'm extremely grateful for the professional and thorough service they provided in replacing my sump pump the right way.
